On tap at Petrol Station. Pours a clear amber with medium beige head that diminishes quickly. The aroma is roasted malt raisin and caramel. Medium mouthfeel with sweet roasted malt, chocolate and sweet finish. Very impressive. Ratman197 (14973) - Arvada, Colorado, USA - MAR 3, 2014

Palate was medium bodied and smooth with a dry finish. Flavors of bourbon, caramel, oak, spice and earthiness with a smooth dry lingering earthy finish. bu11zeye (13029) - Frisco (Dallas), Texas, USA - JUN 25, 2013

Bottle shared by the Dayton crew at the Jackie-O’s release hotel bottle share. Thanks! Pours a cloudy amber color with a small off white head. Notes of brown sugar, raisins, dates, cake, and toffee. Medium-bodied, with a sweet, malty mouthfeel and moderate carbonation. Good beer, but very sweet. DrSilverworm (9671) - Cincinnati, Ohio, USA - MAR 2, 2014
Tasted at a bottle share in a hotel room after the most recent Jackie-O’s bottle release. Mostly clear red orange color. Thin off-white head. Couple bits of lace. Lots of caramel, dark fruit in the nose. Bigger body. Smooth, lightly soft, lighter carbonation. Tropical fruity hop notes. Moderate sweet taste, light bit of tartness. Light bit of spiciness. Alright barley wine, for me. I don’t care for them being this tropical fruity.

Poured up on tap at AZ Strong Beer Fest 2016 where it exhibits a slightly hazy deep copper body that has thin gold edges and supports a tan head of foam. The aroma offers up aged malts, blunted and aged malty pine hops and then kind of a crystal malt sensation toward the end of the draw. The taste is soft, smooth and delicious where I get slick sweet malts and then quickly nuanced with sticky pine hops and kind of faint yet heavy sweet dark fruity esters. This is just coming across as a delicious deep and balanced sipper. SudsMcDuff (8439) - .....Manchester United.........., Texas, USA - MAY 24, 2013
rock me amadeus!! .. very happy to see a growler just being ignored in front of me, so i went at it .. . deep brown .. mild foam .. . some bark, chewed raisin, and week old pot brownie .. light mouth and a rather quick finish .. . it was a nice beer but thought it might be mightier
