(Draught) Cloudy deep brown, syrupy consistency in the glass, medium tan colored head with natural-looking carbonation. Nose of medium toasted oak, wildflowers, fresh cut meadow, honey, sweet, smells absolutely incredible, reminds me of Hill Farmstead (the place and their beers). Taste is exceptionally sweet, oaky, esters, cloying, unfermented residual sugars, feels like the beer was perhaps rushed to market a bit. I think with time, and left to attenuate, it would be REALLY good. As it stands, it’s just too sweet, sticky, and oaky. Carbonation amount is damn near perfect, so it’s a shame the beer isn’t less sweet and oaky.

Tap at the Saucer FW. Murky brown-reddish color. Beige color head. Aroma is floral, sour, dark fruit, and malts. Flavor is sour, dark fruit and dry. Floral flavors lead to dry bitter finishings.

Sample at Hay Merchant in Houston. Reddish-brown color with a medium light beige head that dissipates steadily to a film. Partial rings of lacing. Smells of caramel, oak and malt. Medium to full body with a slightly syrupy mouthfeel and flavors of caramel malt, floral hops and a touch of honey. The finish is sweet with a lingering caramel aftertaste. Above average overall.

On tap at Hay Merchant. Pours a dark ruby with large creamy beige head that lasts awhile leavin sticky lacing. The aroma is a bready malt and caramel. Well balanced and solid take on a brown bock; very sweet due to the addition of local honey, but still balances nice with a delicious malty flavor. Rich golden brown color-
