12 oz bottle purchased at the Specs on the North side of Dallas, Texas. The pour is a slightly hazed golden orange with a smallish white head. Pretty beer. The aroma is soft floral spiced rye, paired with a crisp toasted grain malt. Delicate and nuanced nose. The taste is the rye up front, spiced and floral, then moves to the toasted grain of the malt. Clean and crisp, rye is more present in the flavor than the nose. The palate is light to medium bodied, a nice unfiltered mouth feel, active cleansing carbonation, and the rye spice finish. Nice one, really impressed with both Deep Ellum beers I have had. 5000 (6900) - Hardened Liver, Washington, USA - MAR 5, 2013
Bottle:   Orangish straw, a bit hazy, huge rocky white head, nice lacing.   Straw and rye on the nose, faint pixie stix like sweetness.   Dry and husky on the tongue, definite rye presense but a little rough.   Otherwise a bit grassy.   Not as rough on the finish, actually comes across much better.   A little citrusy sweetness.   Body and mouthfeel are average.   Lingering citrus bits.   Not as grassy or with straw/hay as most pils.   Seems very Rye like, but also somewhat like a Pale Ale.   Decent. angrypirate06 (1388) - Texas, USA - JAN 19, 2013
Draught. Amber pour with long lasting off white head. Nose is lightly sweet, pepper. Flavor is rye, pepper, nice and dry. Excellent pils! dfinney23 (3424) - Houston, Texas, USA - JAN 16, 2013
The rare pils that makes me wonder why I generally avoid them. Right up there with Real Ale Hans as the best I’ve ever had. Westmeister (2127) - Atlanta, Georgia, USA - JAN 16, 2013
Bottle. Pours a medium orange with white fluffy head and solid lace. Smell is nice pilsner hops, bit spicy, grain. Taste is earthy hops, spicy rye. Nice flavor packed into this under 5%. I could drink this by the six pack during the spring/summer. Medium mouthfeel with a slightly dry finish. Nice.

Bottle. Clear geek color with lasting white head. Spicy rye, yeasty multigrain bread aromas. Light body with average co2. Dry peppery, spicy rye bread, dusty pils malt flavors--drying finish-good.
