We’ve had better stouts, but this one’s not bad at all. Probably wouldn’t buy this but certainly would accept it from a friend...or an enemy.

Draft @ Doubletree RDU. Aroma is sweet, cocoa. Dark brown color with reddish highlights. Thick beige head that dissipates, good lacing. Flavor is sweet, smooth. Med bodied. Overall, a good stout but a little sweet for me. UNCCTF (587) - Cary, North Carolina, USA - DEC 28, 2016
On tap at Lowe’s Foods in Cary. Pitch black, tan head. Very chocolatey with a surprising amount of bitterness in the finish. Nothing spectacular, but I’d have it again. freekyp (2336) - Thomasville, North Carolina, USA - OCT 7, 2016

Sweet and chocolaty. A little bitter. Slight head and minor cascading. Not a beer with a lot of depth. But was enjoyable stout and probably the best one coming out of Deep River at moment. OldGrowth (3474) - the Containment Area, North Carolina, USA - JUN 13, 2015
