I really like this beer. Nice chocolate notes without tasting artificial. Smooth, creamy, very satisfying. One of my favorites. jt78 (9) - North Carolina, USA - JAN 24, 2017 does not count
Very dark pour nice and black needs a little more balance between the malt and hops little light on the hops. Nice thick strong finish. Picked this up from a local craft beer store. jrob21 (3760) - Atlanta, Georgia, USA - JAN 5, 2017

Big can. Metalic aroma as it nears my lips. Taste is large barge and in charge. Bitter black almost licorice ipa, wew. Large foamy rocky head. So dark. Think burnt imperial iap. Kick in the face this is. Rude freacken nasty mahfah at the end. If you liek big black mouth coating ipa, you need to ignore my numbers adn give this a spin. Put your seatbelt on. travita (5006) - Dallas, Texas, USA - APR 18, 2016
Tap. The look is dark, black in color, creamy tan head. The smell is roast, hops, dirt, cocoa, ok. The taste is the same. Blah blah blah. freekyp (2363) - Thomasville, North Carolina, USA - DEC 31, 2015
Deep toasty coffee notes mingle seemlessly with resiny piny hop notes. Pours a deep dark brown with swaths of runny Belgian lace. One of the better black IPAs. Long black coffee pine and resin finish Dogbrick (13389) - Columbus, Ohio, USA - DEC 20, 2015
Sample at Hoof Hearted during the Dragonsaddle Triple IPA Can Release on 11/15/2015. The beer pours a dark brown color with a medium tan head that recedes steadily to a film. Short strings of lacing. Aroma of roast malt, hops and pine. Medium body with flavors of roasted malt, resiny hops and a touch of chocolate. The finish is malty up front with a short hoppy aftertaste. Decent overall. nearbeer (5521) - Knoxville, Tennessee, USA - DEC 20, 2015
Couple of pints on tap. Opaque with a lasting disc of cream on top. Nose is espresso, chocolate, evergreen resin and a whiff of citrus. Tastes of the same mix. Near-medium body has a smooth medium carbonation and a drinkable balance.
