Chocolate & coffee aroma. Near black with a creamy beige head. Dark chocolate, brown sugar & dark fruits flavours. Medium body, smooth. Very good stout. Towey1989 (3152) - Stoke On Trent, Staffordshire, ENGLAND - OCT 10, 2016
Cask at The Fountain, Leek. A black colour with a medium biege head. Aroma of roasted malts, coffee, some chocolate and subtle umami. Taste of roasted malts, coffee, slight caramel, a little chocolate and subtle umami. Medium bodied and soft carbonation. A dry, roasted bitterness in the finish. A standard roasty stout but well brewed, subtle sweetness from the caramel and a hint of umami. Nice. chriso (7586) - London, Greater London, ENGLAND - SEP 17, 2014
Cask (gravity dispense) at Elysian Beer Festival on 11 January 2013. Very dark, near-black colour. No head to speak of. Modest condition. Chocolate is strong. Firm mouthfeel. Dry and bitter. Bitterness lingers into the aftertaste. Very decent.

Blck brown color with virtually no head. Aroma is moderate to heavy malty, roasted, chocolate, coffee. Flavor is moderate to heavy sweet and moderate bitter with a long duration, sweet chocolate, coffee. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is flat to soft.
Black with a creamy-bubbly head and a sharp roasted aroma, but not high on flavour. Clibit (7) - Manchester, Bedfordshire, ENGLAND - FEB 25, 2013 does not count
Cask at Port Street Beer House, Manchester. Nice glass of stout, smooth, with a tan head. Chocolate, maybe liquorice, not as bitter as I expected. Good. imdownthepub (15129) - Banbury, Oxfordshire, ENGLAND - FEB 11, 2013
Cask conditioned at Fleetwood Beer Fest ’13. Black with tan head. Oddly quite fruity for a stout, prunes came to mind with a hint of tartness. Bitterness from the roasted malts does come through later, a touch thinner than expected. Still an interesting beer. Reasonable. planky84 (3371) - Lee, Greater London, ENGLAND - JAN 29, 2013
Cask at the Microbar Beer Festival, Manchester, 2013. Dark brown pour with a tan head. Meaty old aroma. A bit of coffee and dark chocolate in there too. Flavours of coffee, chocolate and a smidgen of licorice. Quite nice.
