2.9 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20
Tap. Golden pour with minimal head. Slight grass and fruit. Caramel and tea. Quite a bit of hop. Not bad but not exciting.
12 oz. bottle from Cable Beverage. Pours a dark amber with a fingers worth of beige, bubbly head. Minor lace. Aroma is biscuits and honey with a light citrus, pine background. In spite of what the label claims, the hops are quite subdued. This is much more malt forward than some IPA’s. There’s a light sweetness, yet it almost teeters at the edge of sourness at times. Medium bodied. No discernable aftertaste. Wasn’t bad, just a little odd. j12601 (13097) - Poughkeepsie, New York, USA - DEC 25, 2016
Bottle Saturday night in the hotel room at TAP NY 2106. Pours a hazed gold with a medium sized white head. Musk, funk, fruit on the nose. Medium bodied, fruity citrus, musk. Soft citrus, musk, bitterness on the finish.

Pours nice golden with slight haze can’t really taste the monstrous amount of hops inside. Doesn’t taste like an ipa at all N3lson1 (1010) - Long Valley, New Jersey, USA - MAY 25, 2016
Drank on tap at Defiant Brewing Company. Pours a nice golden color, with a bit of head. Nice hoppy aroma both floral and citrus notes. Not a bad IPA! dagimp (1008) - Philly, Pennsylvania, USA - JUN 9, 2015
Ugh! Best way to describe this one is carbonated hop water. No craftsmanship to this beer at all. Just a bunch of hops randomly thrown into a beer. Drain pour garbage. Save your money. This isn’t my first crappy beer from Defiant; how are you guys still in business?

Chris and Alisa brought this one back for me from a trip to New Jersey. +++ Sampled from a 12 oz brown bottle this beer poured a massively over carbonated dark golden color with an enormous fluffy orange-white head that lingered and left decent lacing. The aroma was dry and chalky with notes of Pez and vague citrus. The flavor was bitter and chalky with pepper, Pez and vague fruits. Medium length finish. Light body and massively over carbonated. Meh. gripweed57 (2856) - Hamilton Square, New Jersey, USA - MAY 15, 2015
12 ounce bottle. Amber orange color topped by a moderate Rocky beige head. Caramel malty nose. Dank bittersweet toasted malt flavor. Huge hop bitterness is astringent and out of balance. Lacks complexity. All hops, no substance. KoRoBeNiKi (157) - Fair Lawn, New Jersey, USA - JAN 16, 2015
From Anthony’s coal fired pizza in Fair Lawn, NJ
A little bit of bitterness, a little bit of sweetness, not enough floral/citrus notes for it to feel IPA like. Kind of well bland. Drinkable I guess but more since there isn’t much to drink.
It’s not a bad beer and I don’t mind drinking it, it is just one that is boring. ben4321 (6735) - Hoboken, New Jersey, USA - SEP 7, 2014

Aroma: The nose is clean hops, orange/citrus, some caramel, buttery notes, and resin hints
Appearance: It pours a murky orange color with a small off-white head and average lace
Flavor: Tastes similar to the nose, but with the malts getting more buttery, and a bitter, citrus finish
Palate: The body is medium, it has an okay mouthfeel overall, with a dryish finish
I wasn’t too impressed by this IPA. It isn’t a terrible beer or anything, but the flavor just doesn’t quite work. I don’t really know where to settle on this beer. Maybe I’m even a little too high with this score?
Bottle. Pours orange gold. White head. Nose/taste of sugared grapefruit, pine, resin, caramel malt and toast. Medium body. Overcarbonated mess coming out of the bottle.
