Poured a medium amber color with a very small head. Lots of floaties. Strong buttery aroma. Very light caramel tastes. Not much else stands out. Body was very thin and watery. This one wasn’t very good not sure how old this bottle was). desurfer (1302) - Melbourne, Florida, USA - FEB 26, 2005
Pours a light amber with no head. Aroma lightly malty and sweet, some hops evident. Flavor is mosty sweet, bland, and generally uninteresting. The finish is mild and fleeting. Too watery. Probiere (992) - Pennsylvania, USA - FEB 6, 2005
Slightly herbal aroma with whiffs of bitterness. Nice amber pour and head. Tastes like a boatload of crystal malt completely unintegrated with base malts. Mouthfeel at once watery and sticky. Meh. DYCSoccer17 (3714) - Woodland, California, USA - JAN 9, 2005
Grassy aroma reminscent of their Pils. Slight caramelly lager nose. Mostly transparent honey color with a few yeast floaties and a very small quickly dissipating head. Start is sort of sour and watery. Slightly astringent. Finishes buttery, grainy, and caramelly. Roasts as well. Funky finish.

Copper red brown - deep hued, good lacing; my first bottle had minimal head, the 2nd had a head that flowed over the glass - I wonder why? Cookie dough and sweet malts. Flavor was like a Pillsbury caramel cinnamon breakfast roll. Tasty tasty. jasonp (1581) - Ashburn, Virginia, USA - SEP 16, 2004
Pours a clear copper with a quickly dissapating head. Aroma is very light - faintly malty and floral. Taste is moderately sweet with notes of caramel, roasted malt, smoke and some hop bitterness. Light body. Kind of weak, needs more malt and body. Mouthfeel is kind of watery on the palate. 5000 (6900) - Hardened Liver, Washington, USA - AUG 25, 2004
Bottle pours a translucent orange, small off-white head that quickly diminishes, sparce lacing, with virtually no carbonation. Malts & grains on the nose, slightly sweet. Quite an unsweetened grainy, basement, dusty flavor up front. Finishes just the same, with even lighter flavor. Medium body and mouthfeel. Lots of other better examples out there... Medium amber, little head. Aroma was gently malty with some crisp, vegetal hops. Thinnish in the mouth. Flavor was very similar to the aroma, with some caramel sweetness offset by brocolli hops. Did not detect fruitiness. So-so. jsquire (4674) - St. Marys, Ohio, USA - JUL 21, 2004
Deep golden color out of the bottle with a thin white head and a slightly citric nose. Nice malty sweetness with some berry fruitiness and citric notes. It is a little light, but it is clean and crisp and very enjoyable. Could drink many more. Thanks Slob.
