A crisp light marzen.Smooth and subdued malts with balanced hops. Not bad ffor an American style marzen. ravidesai (979) - Bombay, INDIA - MAY 6, 2003
cklear orange amber with a thin bubbly head.
noes of caramel and floral hop.
initial taste is sweet malt, maltiness intensifies with a nuttyy caramel character, finish is surprisingly full of bittering hops.
a well made crisp marzen, looking forward to more from this brewery.
crisp light palate with good carbonation. jayme9874 (756) - Hamburg, New York, USA - MAY 5, 2003
Clear, bright amber/light copper. No head at all. Nose of caramamelly malt and slight hallertau's. Medium bodied, subdued, smooth malt flavors with a bit of alcohol showing through. Spicy hallertau's creep in and provide decent balance. This one has potential but needs alot of work. wilkie (1208) - Raleigh, North Carolina, USA - MAY 4, 2003
Average if that. Amber in color, it looked like the real thing. However, when drinks it, the flavors are not blended very well at all. Had a nice aroma, sweet, malty and caramel odors, but the taste let me down. jgb9348 (6579) - Arlington (Pentagon City), Virginia, USA - APR 8, 2003
Barely a orange tint to a golden body. The aroma of a normal pilsner, with absolutely nothing arising from the beer. Head fades very very fast, it was completely gone before I could take a sip. Medium bodied with a definate malty taste. Not much else, other than a malty aftertaste as well. Not a complex beer at all. Take one sip, thats all you get to savor. Not even worth a taste.

Amber colored with a fast fading head. Malt present, but generally I was not that impressed. JahNoth (1039) - Rochester, New York, USA - APR 2, 2003
Amber color - I wouldn't mind if it was a touch darker, but it looked decent enough. Sweet malt flavor with a hint of molasses. Very chewy with a mild finish. Very good for the style. TheBeerGod (6284) - Newport News, Virginia, USA - MAR 29, 2003
Had this at the Bon Vivant Beer Lovers Club on 3-28-03. This poured a beautiful copper brown. The first aroma is malt with a slight caramel or molasses aroma. There is a slight underlying hop scent as well. Very well on the palate and the malt taste dominates. Its a little dry but overall is a pretty decent beer. I picked this up in Baltimore when I was driving through this morning. Good aroma of caramel and some woody hints. Sweet caramel and subtle toffee flavors. This beer is very well balanced, there's just not enough on each side of the see-saw. Vac (2445) - San Diego, California, USA - MAR 18, 2003
Pours into the glass with an orange-amber body topped by a thin to medium thick quickly disappearing head with a good amount of lace left on the glass. Slightly sweet and fruity aroma with a sour bitter background. Slightly sour and bitter flavor with a slight fruitiness and a bitter metalic finish. Smooth and light to medium bodied.
