A very smooth & drinkable pilsener, nice golden color with a think bubbly white head, the nose was full of hops, the taste was very crisp, a very drinkable pils, quite a bit of hops in the flavors with a dry & bitter finish

One of my favorite Pils. Best on draft. Nice golden hue with all those bubbles. This is a Pils for you hops fans. The malt is there, but well hidden. A nice crisp finish leaves you wanting more. jonas (7588) - Garching b. München, GERMANY - NOV 6, 2002
Sweet malt, a bit yeast.
Nice full long aftertaste. urbnhautebourg (997) - Annapolis, Maryland, USA - AUG 16, 2002
Sampled at the brewery. There is an unbelievable amount of fresh hop character to this beer, from aroma to flavor to a searing finish. I am not sure the malt is up to the task of providing relief. Definitely more fun than many of the austere and grainy German Pils varieties. Very good, but the DeGroen Dunkel is better. HighGravity (926) - Baltimore, Maryland, USA - JUN 7, 2002
Looks like a pils to me. Great clarity. Nice saaz aroma. Medium body. Really hoppy up front. The malt is a tad bit low. However, this a Solid B pils.

Great dry beer. Awesome flavor with a distinct hops taste...not at all bitter...One of the best DeGroen’s...If you get a chance, you MUST visit the Baltimore Brewing Company to get a taste of them all. PhillyBeer2112 (2850) - Oviedo, Florida, USA - JUL 25, 2001
A bit dark for a pils. Nice almost
medium body, with good head. I found
it rather dry, like a North German
pils. Quite drinkable. An excellent
choice for a pils. Brianroz99 (123) - Mullica Hill, New Jersey, USA - APR 18, 2001
Verry good PILS, holds up well against imports.
