Süß muffiger Kirschantrunk. Dumpf, die Kirschnoten wirken rund, insgesamt aber laff und wenig intensiv. Hm. 8/7/6/7//6

Purple, with pink foam. Smells like cherry with Balsamic vinegar. Taste is pretty much the same, with some red wine notes. Not bad, really...

Bottle sample at a tasting at Tom’s place. Thanks DSG. Dark red. Sweet, sugary and cherry aroma. Sweet, sugary, a little cherry liquor in the mouth. Full body, syrupy, light fizz, deep cherry finish. Too sweet for me.

Zlotta (3282) - Hagen / Düsseldorf, GERMANY - OCT 24, 2016
0.375 l bottle from ’Belgiuminabox.com’, best before December 2016 (apparently bottled in December 2012). Clear, very dark red with a thin, frothy, slowly diminishing, pinkish white head. Sweetish, very fruity aroma of cherries, sorbet powder and some almond. Quite sweet but not overly so, very fruity and a little sourish taste of cherries, almond, a bit of oak and some sorbet powder, followed by a short, slightly tart and minimally vinous finish. Medium body, smooth and slightly effervescent mouthfeel, soft carbonation. Quite nice, not too sweet and with intense cherry flower, some lambic character left as well.

Bottle sample at a tasting, thanks DSG. Hazy red amber, no head. Aroma of cherries, jam and candy. Pretty sweet, flavors of cherries, brown sugar, candy, wine notes, mild tartness. Medium-bodied, sticky on palate. Nice.

Bottle shared at a tasting at Tom L’s place. Deep red with a bit of pinkish foam. Big sweet jammy cherries aroma. Sweetflavor with cherries, sugar, faint tartness. Aroma is better than flavor, and quite sweet overall, but still very nice.

Bottle. Pours in reddish amber body with low to none head. Aroma has cherry character, little bit white wine-like. Taste has cherry sweetness, almost no carbonation. The cherry flavour is really natural, you can feel the fruit. Very nice. Body is full with high carbonation. Well made for the style.

kraddel (8116) - Antwerp, BELGIUM - NOV 13, 2015
Tasted side by side with dekoninck Oude kriek @ Belgiuminabox. This one ( kriekenlambiek ) is way more sweet, and way less carbo ( nearly flat) . Pretty complex, still hints of sourness. Pretty good

ineedbeer (2152) - Oakland, California, USA - JUL 31, 2015
Poured from a fresh 375 ml bottle. Careful opening these; the cork and cage shot off the second the wire was loosened. Aroma is slightly sweet with some moderately strong, jammy, sour cherry notes. Some light oak and funk notes with hints of tropical fruit. As it warms a light funk appears. Pours a dark red with some purple hues and a moderately large, thick, deep pink head that exhibits really nice retention and seems to barley recede. Moderate lacing and no legs. Flavor is fairly sweet with quite a large cherry presence including some sour cherry notes. A bit jammy. Light funk and oak. Acidity is moderate with a light citrus presence. Some tannin flavor similar to blackberry skins is also present. Very fruity. Mouthfeel is medium bodied with medium high carbonation. Low astringency and low alcohol warmth. Overall, a very fruit forward beer that is fairly sweet. The fruit really hides the base beers funk and complexity making it a bit one dimensional.
