330 ml bottle, bb. 31.10.2018, courtesy of ippopotamo36 and friends, many thanks! Pours a clear chestnut with a quickly disappearing off-white head. The aroma is distinctly smokey but very smooth and not harsh and some malt in the background (dark fruits, prunes), soft bacon. Medium body with a low carbonation, a medium sweetness and a light bitterness. The flavor is medium to medium-heavy malty - sweetish malt, honey, caramel, toasted biscuit, raisins, prunes - accompanied by a mild smokey touch. Overall well balanced. Finishes with a light hoppy bitterness and smoke.

Brown body, with a medium, fluffy, beige head.
Aroma of bacon, caramel, toast, bread, some honey, subtle dark fruits.
Tastes quite similar, with more smoke, more honey.
Medium, a bit oily mouthfeel, with an average carbonation.
Finishes medium smokey, a bit dry, a bit roasty, toasty, a bit sweet caramelic, slightly fruity.
Very nice. Very well integrated smoke, with a smooth, sweet and toasty malt body. Really quaffable to drink. Very good stuff in the Bamberg style.
Dec. ’16. On tap at Luppolo Station, with Roman ratebeer crew. Served in a ceramic mug, it poured some darker body with light yellow hued head. Very nice smoked aroma, lightly woody with smoked hard cheese and some berries. Flavor was also smoked, prosciutto, peat and cheese, but unlike most of these it wasn’t alkaline peat dominated, rather sweet, lightly, with caramel and fruit notes. Creamy on palate, full bodied. Finish was moderately long, malty, following the flavor, only with less smoked character. A quite nice smoked.

Huge thanks ippoppotamo! Shared with Ogi and Hrabren. Slightly hazy brown-amber body, small off white head. Bacon and walnut aroma. soft, fresh actually, lightly herbal. Excellent malty background, walnut and bacon really, superb. Generally slightly on the light side but the taste is excellent here. Not too sweet, relatively simple, but well balanced. Rauchig herber, etwas würziger Antrunk. Steigend herb, spritzig würzig, weich. Vollmundig, erreicht nicht die Intensität eines Schlenkerla, auch wenn es die imitierten möchte. Dennoch gut. 10/10/9/9//9
