Sampled at GTMW ’11. Goddamn, why aren’t there more of these? Or why don’t they get the attention they deserve? It’s a full-flavored lager with plenty of grassy, classy, spicy hop character. Aroma was like sticking my nose in the foil bag from the homebrew shop. Moderately bitter in the flavor... gives you a little slap but sets no limits on your gullet. Also, bitchin’ name. savnac (2656) - Anchorage, Alaska, USA - NOV 15, 2011
On tap @ Delafield. Clear golden yellow with a pure white head. Aroma of bready malt, hay, citrus and fresh cut grass. Flavor is a great balance of bready/toasty pils malt and bitter citrus hops. Light body with active carbonation and a very smooth, clean, refreshing finish. I really like this beer, kind of a hybrid of the style but it works so well and is extremely drinkable. arkurzynski (2460) - Combined Locks, Wisconsin, USA - OCT 25, 2011
Pale gold. Tangy noble/citrus hopping and light sweet malts. Pale lager malts followed by even, refreshing citrus hopping. Crisp, lightly acidic, light on the palate. Easy to drink. An overall success for the style. IlanMan (1015) - Appleton, Wisconsin, USA - DEC 20, 2009
Decent pils with a light color but with some nice hop character. The light sweet bready malt hid well in the background allowing for the low hop character to stick out a little. Well blended brew but could have gone for a more fresh hop character. Did not seem to be dry hopped. phishpond417 (2088) - Madison, Wisconsin, USA - NOV 13, 2009
My first one at the brewery in Delafield. Poured a clear golden with a medium sized white head. One thing that stood out which I later discussed with the brewer, was that it was noticeably hoppy for a pils- which I enjoyed of course. It just made it an interesting twist on an otherwise boring style (in my opinion). Some soft grapefruit and ginger notes underlying the beer. Aroma was classic grain, but again hops on the nose. Nice beer!

Sampled during Great Taste of Midwest 2009 in Madison, Wisconsin. Pours a clear golden yellow brew with a short lived off-white head. Aroma of grassy hops and golden grain malt with a hint of corn. Taste is medium bodied, with flavors of grassy hops and a touch of honey and golden grain malt. Finish has a sharp bitterness then a crisp aftertaste. Sampler; Yellow body with white head. Corn aroma and flavor gives you the bitter beer face. Typical pils. muzzlehatch (4975) - Beloit, Wisconsin, USA - OCT 16, 2005
Pint at the brewpub. Big fluffy snow-white head with good retention topping a light clear gold body...fresh, mild grassy nose with light hints of acerbic hops...sweet, malty, bready initial flavor profile, reminds me of Portugese sweet bread...dries and thins out quite a bit late with a smattering of iron. Completely transparent yellow-gold in color with some renegade bubbles rising to the top, where a dusty white head and similar wrung hold dominion. Bright aroma with sugary lemon wafers, expensive dish detergent, and lollypops. An over-arching theme of cleanliness, brightness and sweetness. Interesting garden variety flavor. Initially thin and then an herbal character is divulged. Malt profile is generally shunned while much attention was devoted to the hop bitterness. Tingly, musky, dry and clean. Quite possibly a contract brew for Stetson Cologne. badgerben (5378) - Blaine, Minnesota, USA - OCT 8, 2005
Clear gold color with a medium head. Interesting aroma that reminded me of honey. Dusty hops flavor with a light malt base. Wow... simple, yet tasty. One of the best made pilseners by a brew pub, hands down!
