UPDATED: JUN 19, 2013 Dark black. Medium body, funky in smell and flavor. Slightly dry. Seems to be missing something I think?

Draft at the Delafield Brewhaus. Black color with tan head. Coffee aroma. Flavor has strong coffee notes. Lighter bodied than expected.

Draft at the brewpub. Pretty much the spot-on visuals, black enough. Too thin for my liking, but drinks with an OK bitter chocolate edge, bit of an ashy, gritty feel. (#5094, 7/2/2013)

Sample from the tap at the brewpub. Pours a translucent deep brown with a light brown head that dissipates slowly to the edges. Aroma has notes of roasted malts and chocolate as well as a realtively strong butterscotch notes. Draft at the brewery. Chalky brown-black. Steady beige head. Mild, subdued chocolate aroma. Leagues better than the Amber, but still a little thin and watery. Some caramel tones, specialty malts cover up the odd Delafield undertones. Dealable, about as nice as a Michelob Porter without the quality control. Tap at the brewhouse. Very dark brown pour with an off-white head. Roasted coffee and chocolate malt on the nose. Silky smooth body. Bakers chocolate and roast on taste - delicious.
