Keg at the brewpub, 8/16/16. Clear dark ruby tinted brown, large creamy tan head, good retention. Aroma of roasted malts and chocolate. The taste matches. Thin, overly sweet. alobar (3786) - Lansdale, Pennsylvania, USA - NOV 28, 2015

Tap. Pours black with tan head. Aroma is roasty, a bit fruity. Taste is really smooth, interesting- kinda has some fruit characters, roasty, a bit flat, good. Braudog (6716) - Yorktown, Virginia, USA - JUL 4, 2013
Draft at the brewpub. Pretty much the spot-on visuals, black enough. Too thin for my liking, but drinks with an OK bitter chocolate edge, bit of an ashy, gritty feel. (#5094, 7/2/2013)

UPDATED: JUN 19, 2013 Dark black. Medium body, funky in smell and flavor. Slightly dry. Seems to be missing something I think? demmbonz (732) - Erin, Wisconsin, USA - JUN 20, 2012
On tap at the brewhaus. Dark brown with minimal white head. Toasty and even a bit smoky flavor. Sweet aftertaste. deyholla (11604) - Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA - FEB 10, 2012
Sample from the tap at the brewpub. Pours a translucent deep brown with a light brown head that dissipates slowly to the edges. Aroma has notes of roasted malts and chocolate as well as a realtively strong butterscotch notes. Flavor begins with roasted malts and chocolate, but finishes with strong butterscotch and sweet grains. nuplastikk (6277) - Madison, Wisconsin, USA - JAN 17, 2012
Draft at the brewery. Chalky brown-black. Steady beige head. Mild, subdued chocolate aroma. Leagues better than the Amber, but still a little thin and watery. Some caramel tones, specialty malts cover up the odd Delafield undertones. Dealable, about as nice as a Michelob Porter without the quality control. Tap at the brewhouse. Very dark brown pour with an off-white head. Roasted coffee and chocolate malt on the nose. Silky smooth body. Bakers chocolate and roast on taste - delicious.
