COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Colour and sight: Dark brown-red. A compact white-yellow, stable and lacing head. Scent: Touches of caramel, mocha and chocolate. Spices such as liquorice and coriander are also present. Flavour: Initially, a very good mouthfeel of alcohol and softness. This is followed by an increasing bitterness, partially from the hop, but also from the roasted malt and chocolate malt. Towards the end a nice balance between bitterness, sour and sweet.

Tap. Nice amber body. White head. Spicy aroma, but also moderately sweet. Special spicy flavour at first, then a medium sweet alcoholic flavour. Sweet finish. (Delirium Cafe, Brüssel, 15.12.07)

Pours dark brown with medium off white head. Sweet malty aroma with overripe fruits. Flavor is sweet with strong alcohol note. Bitter finish.

Pours a nice head that falls into a thin unbreakable layer without a lacing. Smells very nice and appealing, like belgian sugar beer. It’s very sweet and very carbonated. Almost a bitter sweet tartness to it’s aftertaste. The mouthfeel turns me away, it’s harsh.

Snojerk321 (2960) - San Diego, California, USA - DEC 21, 2007
750ml bottle from BevMo Carmel mtn. Nocturnum poured a deep mahogany with a ruby hue. Medium sized rocky off white head. Notes of cherry, raisin, other dark fruits (plums, pruns, fig as well). Flavor was very sweet, clean finish that left you wanting more. The best brew from the folks @ Delirium yet.

Bottle. A nice cream colored head, sweet malt aromas, some candy like flavors, sweet malty flavors with complexity, warming on the finish, one caveat, don’t have two!

UPDATED: DEC 18, 2010 Bottle. Pours dark amber red with a tan head. Sweet malty aroma with dark fruity and belgian yeasty notes. The flavor has sweet dried fruits, cherry, belgian yeast, and light spicy notes. Decent.

faroeviking (10913) - FAROE ISLANDS - DEC 18, 2007
Bottle. Amber colour with a nice head. Sweet aroma with yeast, dark fruits, roasted malt and alcohol. Good mouthfeel. The flavour has a good soft sweet roasty maltiness with spices, yeast, dark fruits, caramel and alcohol. Good spiced sweet finish.

Taverner (1100) - San Ramon, California, USA - DEC 16, 2007
A decent Belgian. Could be the belgians I already had in my system - or could be the beer itself. But this stuff gave me the hiccups. Nice malty flavor balanced by the hops. Pours an amber with tan head.

beachbum25 (1092) - Powellville, Maryland, USA - DEC 16, 2007
11.2 oz bottle-Dark brown color w/a good size off white head. Sweet Belgiam aroma w/flavors of candied sugar, brown sugar, & dark fruit. Kind of thin, this one was ok, but not as good as other Delirium Brews. Kind of rough, not as smooth & complex as finer Belgians.
