Colour and sight: Dark brown-red. A compact white-yellow, stable and lacing head. Scent: Touches of caramel, mocha and chocolate. Spices such as liquorice and coriander are also present. Flavour: Initially, a very good mouthfeel of alcohol and softness. This is followed by an increasing bitterness, partially from the hop, but also from the roasted malt and chocolate malt. Towards the end a nice balance between bitterness, sour and sweet.

Deep fruits, yeast, oats and biscuit malts on the nose. Dark amber/brown with a massive foam. Big alcohol presence with pleasant caramel, oat, barley and fresh hop notes that dance around the palate. Big complexity with some hidden undertones of herbs, belgian candi syrup, roasted molasses and mocha. Overall, this is really strong, full-bodied, and complex. Id give this an A+ rating.

11.2 oz. bottle that was a gift from my nephew Luke. Pours a hazy, somewhat muddy brown with a thin tan head. Very pleasant aroma of caramel, figs, and brown sugar. The flavor is a bit more subdued than the aroma with caramel, figs, brown sugar, Belgian yeast and a bit of alcohol heat. Mild bitterness at the finish. Very heavily carbonated which I think took away from both the flavor and the mouthfeel. Medium bodied.

Deep brown, clear, thick beige head. Aroma of ripe fruit, a bit rotten and metallic when cold and with more caramel after warming up. Lots of carbonation, sightly tart finish and watery body.
