COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Colour and sight: Dark brown-red. A compact white-yellow, stable and lacing head. Scent: Touches of caramel, mocha and chocolate. Spices such as liquorice and coriander are also present. Flavour: Initially, a very good mouthfeel of alcohol and softness. This is followed by an increasing bitterness, partially from the hop, but also from the roasted malt and chocolate malt. Towards the end a nice balance between bitterness, sour and sweet.

Pours cola black with a coffee colored head that sticks around. A really pretty beer. Smells fruity with some chocolate notes. Tastes tart and fruity. The chocolate taste is more subtle than the smell suggests but its still there. There is also some noticeable alcohol flavor that hangs around in the after taste. Mouthfeel-Smooth and almost creamy. very nice/ Overall- A really nice dark Belgian ale. Not the least bit surprising given the brewery.

330 ml bottle from Theater of Wine. Pours clear dark brown with large, tanned head. Warm and yeasty aroma, dough, hint of alcohol, herbal, fresh and pleasant. Taste is strong, malty, warm, dough, coriander, a bit alcoholic at the end. Very high carbonation, slightly bitter aftertaste, medium-bodied. Decent beer, but nothing special.

UPDATED: FEB 18, 2017 Sweet candy, burnt caramel, prunes and syruppy malt aroma. Very sweet at first then the medicinal herbs and black liquorice bitterness whip in and stick around. 8.5% and the booze is quite apparent. Reminds me of an apertif like Jagermeister. Ive enjoyed Tremens many times, but this one is not for me.

Dark red, with beige head. Belgian yeast aroma, hint of chocolate. Taste is a little sweet up front, some spice, and a mildly bitter finish.

Pours brown from the ceramic bottle. The head is large, foamy, and sand colored. Lots of evident carbonation. The aroma is cherry with lighter hints of banana and fresh dough. The taste is overall banana sweet with hints of bubble gum, spice, and a cherry twang. Nice start but we eventually glide into a dusty bitterness. Ends with a light sourness on the tongue. The taste is marred by a palate that seems way too fizzy at the outset. A few minutes of settling in the glass and things improved. Good, but not without flaws.

11.2 oz. bottle that was a gift from my nephew Luke. Pours a hazy, somewhat muddy brown with a thin tan head. Very pleasant aroma of caramel, figs, and brown sugar. The flavor is a bit more subdued than the aroma with caramel, figs, brown sugar, Belgian yeast and a bit of alcohol heat. Mild bitterness at the finish. Very heavily carbonated which I think took away from both the flavor and the mouthfeel. Medium bodied.
