Attractive, complex, & worth a try! Pours a lovely cloudy copper w/ a retaining white head & a bit of lacing. The aroma is a powerful blend of fruit notes. The taste has a big dry fruit kick throughout. It’s fairly complex & quite different. The alcohol is well hidden & overall this is a delightful beer for the season!

Bouteille 33cl, V&B Grenoble.

Pours a cloudy caramel amber with a tall, well-retaining light caramel colored head. Caramel and apple pie nose. A bit of a lively mouthfeel. A little gassy. Sticky too. Well-balanced sweetness with the bitterness. I wish the carbonation was a little tamer.

330 ml bottle from the Bishop’s Cellar. Pours a murky caramel colour with average-sized, lasting light tan head. Aroma is candy sugar, dried fruit, caramel, dark fruit and light spiciness. Flavour is quite sweet with candy sugar, cherry, prunes, toffee, yeasty fruitiness/spiciness and a little booziness. Fairly lively carbonation. Good one.
