4.4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 18/20
Santa definatley carries some as he transcends time and space each year. And drinker of this fine beverage will attain such a feeling. Its a delicious counsin to the tremens and nocuturnus. IF this beer can light that jolly ole cowboy’s fire, it can light mine.
This one was from our favorite bar- a 2010 version, so pretty aged and poured into a little tulip glass. Appearance is a dark red/brown and a nice smooth palate. The aroma is malty and with a vague holiday vibe to it; the taste has some strong alcohol on top and then some spices and a toasty/bready flavor towards the end. Good for drinks with friends on a Wednesday after officially becoming a Costco person. Shark_Pants (765) - AUSTRALIA - NOV 17, 2017

The deep amber, malty brew brings up lots of images of Christmas with a flavorful profile of cinannmon, cloves, all spices and stewed oranges. Great depth with a warming finish davidf93 (177) - Stellenbosch, SOUTH AFRICA - MAY 26, 2017

750-ml caged and corked bottle pours cloudy orange-brown with small off-white head. Aroma: caramel, yeast, sweet spices. Flavor: all of the above with some honey and grapes. Medium- to full-bodied. Marko (6107) - Split / Zagreb, CROATIA - MAY 24, 2017
How the hell didn’t I rate this. Noted at least 1 Belgian rating missing from where it was before recently, so who knows, maybe this one fell victim to some moron or just bug. Shared with Hrabren, thanks! Slighly hazy dark amber body, enormous off white head. Fresh caramel and wild strawberry aromas, slome bubblegum. Taste... mild fruitiness beaten by all too dry phenolic touches. Strawberry and light peach. Okay, good even perfumey Belgian ale.
