The particular character and the unique taste of "Delirium Tremens" result from the use of three different kinds of yeast. Its very original packing, which resembles cologne ceramics, and the colourful label contribute to its success.
In 1997, Stuart A. Kallen nominated Delirium Tremens as "best beer in the world". A gold medal during the "world beer championships" in Chicago (1998) confirmed that worldwide recognition.

This was OK. Nothing too memorable. I very much prefer the nocturnum in lieu of this.

Clear amber in color with a very thick head. Nice fruitiness and alcohol in the nose. The malt is present in flavor and just balanced by the right bitterness.

A fair beer, nice head and clean structure. Lingering fruity and yeasty after taste. Down here in Melbourne, Australia it is quite expensive and there are many cheaper beers with better overall qualities.

Bottle at BelgoBar in STHLM, Sweden. Clear golden. Aroma has fruits, yeast, apricot and some metal. Flavor is fruity and palate is smooth and round. Good balance between all the elements in this brew.

Fantastic head. Good body. Amber coloured, with a fruit and clove flavour. Strong and pleasant.

A light fruity aroma from this pale-colored ale. A fruity yeast flavor, that seems both sweet and tart at the same time. Good body.

From tap: fruity, some apples, some yeasty sourness, little spicy, pretty sweet but kind of weak tasting and watery. nice but not more then that.

StefanSD (2451) - Ouray, Colorado, USA - OCT 23, 2007
11oz bottle from Bevmo. Pours a cloudy unfiltered orange gold. The head is sudsy white, large and long lasting with plenty of lacing. The aroma--mind you I have a sinus cold right now so my olfactory capability is not what it should be--has distinct vanilla, peanuts, and sweet yeasts. The flavor is something to behold, initially it is a quite ordinary saison-like Belgian tripel, but it finishes with rich caramel and vanilla. The mouthfeel is full and satisfying, the carbonation is lively and prickly. Overall this is a great beer. Recommended.
