The particular character and the unique taste of "Delirium Tremens" result from the use of three different kinds of yeast. Its very original packing, which resembles cologne ceramics, and the colourful label contribute to its success.
In 1997, Stuart A. Kallen nominated Delirium Tremens as "best beer in the world". A gold medal during the "world beer championships" in Chicago (1998) confirmed that worldwide recognition.

750 ml. Pours a fluffed, fanatical white head. Smells of affluent grains, tiny yeast, and trouble. Very typical of the Belgian Strongs. Mouthfeel is encompassing yet sinister with balanced pepper in the back. This beer never fails to please.

If you need to convince someone of the amazing flavor and beauty of a Belgian Strong Ale, point them to the Delirium. This beer is really fantastic, nice floral notes, good finish, refreshing. Perfect

Bottled. highly unusual clay bottle. Amazing sweet, clove, vanilla, fudge, banana and slight cinamon aroma. Very nice full body and alcohol remians well masked. endearing sweet finish with and aromatic spicey twist. Worthy of its repuatation

Embrouille (2843) - SWITZERLAND - JUN 4, 2007
Bottled 33cl. It pours a beautiful orange beer with a whitish coloured head. Lots of sediment rising from the bottom of the tumbler. Nice bubbles, decent carbonation. Spicy, tart aromas, yeasty, some alcohol presence. Very nicely balanced nose. Fruity, slightly acidic taste with lots of sweetness. Rather tart flavour. Very drinkable though despite its high alcohol content. Faint bitter finish.

OhioDad (2492) - Hilliard, Ohio, USA - JUN 3, 2007
Draught - Pours hazy golden with a short white head that stays briefly. Aromas of yeast, pears, apples, and peppery spice. Flavor is yeasty as well with pears, apples, some apricot sweetness sneaks in before the corriander and a pinch of pepper at the finish. Palate is well carbonated but pretty smooth. Nice tripel!
