The particular character and the unique taste of "Delirium Tremens" result from the use of three different kinds of yeast. Its very original packing, which resembles cologne ceramics, and the colourful label contribute to its success.
In 1997, Stuart A. Kallen nominated Delirium Tremens as "best beer in the world". A gold medal during the "world beer championships" in Chicago (1998) confirmed that worldwide recognition.

Pours a pale yellow with a long-lasting, foamy white head. Has an aroma of sweet Belgian yeast. Flavor is sweet yeast, some wheat, and a good dose of warmth. Very good.

UPDATED: OCT 13, 2017 A real knee trembler, from the pour, to the sniff, to the taste... to the after effect. Fortunately I'd eaten so the motorway to complete and utter nonsense has been slowed. But not much... Where's the beer menu?

Excellent presentation, pours light yellow with minimum head. Light notes of caramel and cream are present. Mildly bitter aftertaste. Packs a sneaky punch due to the high alcohol content.

Bottle. Hazy yellow colour with a large white head, nose is sweet, fruity and yeasty with notes of pineapple, peach, cream and candy, taste is sweet, fruity, floral and boozy with a tart and dry finish, a good carbonation and a creamy mouthfeel.

spacecube (1748) - Leeds, West Yorkshire, ENGLAND - OCT 7, 2017
330ml bottle, pours gold with a small bubbly head. Aroma is caramel malt, wheat, banana, cherries, blackcurrants. Medium bodied, oily texture, medium carbonation, finish is sweet, fruity and lightly bitter. Always a pleasure.

UPDATED: OCT 7, 2017 One of beers that is really great and can get all the marks right and I know that is high in quality. But just not my favourite style. Otherwise really good.

Aroma: floral, dough, alcohol Appearance: pale, sparkling, with a frothy, white head Taste: light sweetness, medium bitterness. Palate: light body, lively, bitter finish

Zilverenmaan (262) - Antwerp, BELGIUM - OCT 6, 2017
Very peppery and yeasty ( indeed ), mild sweetness, full and soft, a bit like a wheat ale but without the sticky tapioca. Not too complex but very nice, alcohol well hidden.

Benters (48) - Leicestershire, ENGLAND - OCT 5, 2017
Pours a slightly hazy golden colour with average carbonation and a full white head. Big Belgian yeasty aromas, very fruity, oranges and hops evident. Taste is rich, slightly warming alcohol, a great combination of sweet, fruity malt with a good hop backbone. Gentle carbonation sparkle is very refreshing. Finish is fruity, slightly dry and leaves you wanting more! Enjoyed this beer with a creamy traditional lasagne. Pairing worked really well - beer is robust enough to stand up to the beef, the combination of hop bitterness and carbonation help cut through cream, cheese and fat and cleanse the palate and the sweetness of the malt and fruity esters blend with the sweetness of the sauce. A really enjoyable beer, great with food too!

Aromat drożdze i banany, guma do żucia, obfita piana drobno pęcherzykowa, słaby lejsing, dobrze ukryty alkohol, barwa złocista, trochę mętne.
