Dark brown with frothy tan head. Slightly tart nose with redcurrants and toast. Light body, moderate carbonation, chocolate, toast and fruity finish. Hides its strength well.
330ml bottle (6%abv) courtesy of mr_h. Almost black colour, big foamy head. Chocolate malt aroma. Big chocolatey flavour. Sweet & fizzy on palate. Somewhere between a stout & porter. Not bad. AshtonMcCobb (6605) - Edinburgh, SCOTLAND - FEB 17, 2013
UPDATED: MAY 19, 2013 Re-rate - same score but just to say nuttiness is coming out hugely now.

On cask at The Heriot-Watt Beer Festival. A beautiful black beer with a decent tan head. Aroma of pine, coffee and chocolate. Similar flavours with lingering pine and roasty malt. Not too sweet. Lovely.
