Danish: Porter som den smagte i Gamle dage, da man stadig lagrede den på egefade. ...Mere enkelt kan det ikke siges. Gl.

Pour out of 22 oz bottle, thanks to Scott and Papsoe, pour is dark reddish bornw with tan head, aroma brought notes of smoke, hints of earth, touch of red berry, hints of caramel, toffee, slight chocolate. Taste is a mix of sweet red berry, hints of earth, touch of chocolate, dark fruit, finishing finishing fairly sweet, slightly dry and sour.

The foam is large, nougat colored and partly continuous. Coffee, buffalo leather, burnt and dark chocolate rises from the glass. The flavor is surprisingly light compared to the impression you get from the aroma. It has only a little fullness along a dry stout, but with more roasted malt notes and coffee. Then comes a slightly fruity acidity with a woody taste which is undoubtedly from oak. Resiliency is in the form of leather and smoke and makes it a very delicate and tasteful porter.

(Bottle). Smells old tarred boat, salty sea water, smoke and grapes. The taste is tangy and a little thin, yet soft with flavors of grapes, brown sugar, smoke, barrel and vanilla. Clearly a beer with an unusual taste and I like it!

pentaz (1293) - Frederiksberg, DENMARK - AUG 24, 2013
Bottle. Pours opaque very dark brown with a tan small head. Aroma is oak, chocolate, roasted malt, leather, dark fruit, coffee, acetic and smoke. Taste is moderate sweet, bitter and acidic. Body is medium, texture is creamy, carbonation is near flat. Finishes dry, bitter, oaky and moderate tart. Strange brew indeed, but second time around I actually like it.

sunevdj (4144) - Copenhagen OE, DENMARK - APR 19, 2013
Old bottle at home - from Nordisk ølhandel; thanks! Pours black with a small, beige, diminishing head. Dry with a slight sourness. Aromas of dark toasted malts and hints of dark chocolate. Also aromas of berries and leather. Medium to light bodied. Medium to soft carbonation. Dry finish.

varanid99 (1399) - AUSTRALIA - MAR 13, 2013
Almost black pour with thin cola-like head. Aroma coffee, roasted grains and something a bit funky. Taste is slightly sour, winey, a little unpleasant aftertaste, some coffee.

rlgk (18843) - Göteborg, SWEDEN - DEC 25, 2012
Bottle. Black beer with a small brownish head. Sweet vinous, funky aroma, berries, vanilla, licorice, leather, raisins, plums and, figs, some candy. Woody sweetish flavor, caramel, sourish, leather, vinous, berries, dark fruits. Odd and not very much to my liking.

ClubGonzo (5683) - Bergen, NORWAY - DEC 25, 2012
Bottle, shared with BBGTC. Pours a black body with a small white head. Aroma is near-tart woody, syrupy tones of herbs and sour yeasty spice. Nice, but very odd and hard to describe. Taste is sour-ish wooden touches, dark chocolate and deep malts. Palate is parching, but somehow in a rather good way. An OK and rather original porter with a touch of the sour world.

Palme (4857) - Bergen, NORWAY - NOV 4, 2012
0.5l bottle shared with The Tasting Crew. This one pours a deep dark brown body with a small quickly bubbly and sidesticking light brown top. A bit low on the nose at first, but there is a really present buttery sourness here! Some woodwork also, with tones of a caramel sweetness and a swiff of coconut zest. Different, non-extreme aroma. It has a soft carbonation level and a light oily mouthfeel. A bit acidic in the taste. Drymouthing and almost a bit watery. Woody and acidic with tones of smoke, chocolate and something light leathery. A really different one. 18.10.2012
