750 ml. bottle sampled @ 20ste Zomerbierfestival. Made for a chiro (a scouts-like organization). Dark brown, red hued, light tanned head. Nose is licorice, light cacao, herbal, syrup, lightly medicinal,… Taste is akin to a very light & fizzy porter, cacao, lightly herbal, thin chocolate, dark fruits, sweetish, light brown sugar,… Body is a bit too light & fizzy. Not very attenuated but quite pleasant to drink. Quite a nice beer. Kr1zz (428) - BELGIUM - JUN 8, 2015
Bottle (75cl) bought at the brewery.
Pours brown to dark red with a big creamy beige head. (autumn color).
In the nose: caramel, very very fruity, notes of caramel an roasted malts.
Taste: caramel notes, notes of roasted malts and chocolate. lot’s of dried fruit flavours, a warm alcoholic feeling in the throath. At the end, there are dusty notes. Almost no bitterness.

Very interesting !! If you want to know what is a reeeeaaaaaal belgian beer, just try this beer. Alengrin (5243) - BELGIUM - AUG 12, 2014
One of Den Triest’s first, with light beige head and bronze colour. Aroma of dates, nutmeg, cacao powder, coffee touch; dryish taste on a chocolatey malt base with lightly toasted accent, mild hops in the finish but not really bitter, mouthfeel remarkably thin in relation to its strength. Way too heavy to be called a dubbel, this is more of a ’massive ale’, albeit not so massive as it should have been.

tasting.Pours amber with an off-white head.Aroma of malt, caramel, Belgian yeast and fruitiness.Flavor is sweet and malty with some fruitiness, caramel and yeast.Medium body, average carbonation.Nice dubbel.
Bottle, 75cl. A dense, two-finger off-white head sits on top of a mostly clear, dark amber body. Some lacings. Dried fruits, some pleasant herbyness and some dark malts. Quite pleasant, but lacking some on complexity. The same can be said of the flavor. Dried fruits and some orange peel, with maltyness, some alcohol notes and a fine bitterness. Full-bodied and effervescent, with some bitterness in the end. Well, it lacks on complexity, but it’s tasteful and quite drinkable anyway. 111105
