Tasting at ZBF. Hazy brown color with a brown head. Aroma has some strong notes of roasted mal and dark chocolate. Taste is full of coffee, chocolate and roasted malt. Good brew. JoeinDahlem (1521) - Berlin, GERMANY - MAR 8, 2010
From chilled 75 cL bottle at ZBF. Fairly smooth and subtle nose, with some roast malt, a tart fruit note, and a touch of bitter chocolate. Cloudy dark brown color with a big beige head. Surprisingly firm bitterness with a nice grainy malt flavor, avoiding sweetness (just the lightest impression of brown sugar). Harmonious, balanced, well-rounded and dry dubbel with a serious maltiness. Impressive.
