Black color. Smooth and roasty, moderately sweet. Nice.
Can, pours black with a small tan head. Aroma brings out lots of roasted malt and a little cocoa. Flavour is along the same lines, with roasted malt, dry cocoa and oats. Well-balanced with a fairly robust body. Nice one. Oakes (17831) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - SEP 20, 2014
Dark brown, only a little head. Quite a toasty nose, roasty palate, a touch thin bit bringing some nice dark malt character, choc especially, and a fairly hearty bitterness. Ferris (15901) - Burnaby, British Columbia, CANADA - MAR 12, 2016
Can - Lots of cocoa and roast with some dried coffee. Jet brown with a rich brown head. Dark and roasty with some nice chocolate notes and a touch of sweet bitterness. Nice dry finish.

A dark brown stout with a thin brown head. In aroma, a peaty fragrant chocolate with dark fruits. In mouth, a smooth silky chocolate stout, with light peaty notes, nutty and smooth. On tap at Humpy’s Oct. 9 2011. BeerandBlues2 (13594) - Escondido, California, USA - JAN 22, 2016
Draught at GABBF. Pours opaque black with a medium, frothy tan head, medium retention with good lacing. Aroma is roast and chocolate malt, prunes and leather. Flavor is roast malt, prunes, leather, light earthy hops and bitterness with a dry finish. Medium body and carbonation. douglas88 (9420) - Portland, Oregon, USA - JAN 17, 2015
On nitro at humpys. Pours a black color with a large nitro head. A light sweet malty nose. Light, chocolate, fluffy, toast. Base is dry and easy. after4ever (8025) - Mukilteo, Washington, USA - MAR 26, 2014
Nitro at sb. I can certainly live without the nitro. Pours black with a ridiculously dense and slow-settling sandy head. Actually looks like a glass of sand for about five minutes. Quite a spectacle. Dry roasty nose. The usual chalky flat nitro body. Roasty dry mid palate with some baking chocolate. Nice but, well, ya gotta like nitro. Sledutah (7724) - Utah, USA - JAN 19, 2015
Nitro at Humpys
