COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
When it was discovered that hops not only added bitterness and aroma to beer, but made it last longer too, British brewers created the IPA style to survive the long voyage to India, where her majesty’s thirsty troops awaited unspoiled ale. Twister Creek IPA combines the finest Pacific Northwest and British hops atop a foundation malty enough to balance its 71 IBUs. High octane, full-flavored, well-balanced. This is the beer you’ve been thirsty for.

12oz can thanks to AkAndy! Pours a hazy straw color with a huge frothy white head of foam. Aroma of sweet citrus, lemon skins, and bready grain. Taste is a step up from the aroma. Lemon zest, pine, ripe pineapple, grass, and sweet grain. Pretty decent overall! Thanks Andy!

In tap at Seattle airport. Golden color, a little cloudy. Good size head. Strong hoppy citrus smell. Initial taste of spicy lemon. Not too much of a malt flavor notice until about the fourth sip ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

This brew has a very distinctive tap handle but unfortunately the beer itself is nothing special. It’s very cloudy amber w/ a creamy white head. It has a nice and fruity hop flavor w/ a touch of sweetness and some toasty caramel-like malt and a firm, earthy bitterness in the finish. It has a creamy texture and is rather low in carbonation. I would probably call this more or a strong amber than an IPA due to the maltiness but that is not, strictly speaking, a bad thing.

UPDATED: MAR 17, 2016 Can from Total Wine in Lynnwood, WA. Pours gold with a white head. Aroma is quite floral. Med body or nearly. Flavor is floral hop over a decent caramel backbone. There’s a little hop bite, and it is bitter. Still the floral is the main thing. It’s a very hoppy beer that hasn’t NW harshness. Nice.
