   AROMA 6/10   APPEARANCE 3/5   TASTE 5/10   PALATE 3/5   OVERALL 14/20
BMan1113VR (7929) - Los Angeles, California, USA - MAY 15, 2009
Bottle. Pours with a hazed pale gold body and a frothy white head. Aroma of bread, plastic, berries and unripe pear. A waft of mandarin orange liquor. Taste is yeasty with undercooked bread, rotten orange and a bit of an odd yeasty caramel aftertaste. Slightly dry and tart finish. Not bad, but certainly not memorable. Very lively and shrill carbonation. Dry mouthfeel.

orange, clear, sparkling, white foam, minimal head, light sweetness, lightly bitter, medium sourness, medium body, slick feel, lively, astringent,

0.33 bottle. A delicately hazy, gold color with a small, white head. Aroma of yeasts, metal, and pale malts - not particularly notable. A simple yeasty taste; it is mediocre and devoid of any prominent features. A medium body, a slick texture, and a carbonation somewhere between lively and fizzy. Finish is medium long, rather tasteless too. All in all the brew is surprisingly substandard, diluted and fizzy like a coke. A cheap attempt at breaking into a refreshing drink market it would seem.

Bottle 33cl. Poured into a trappist glass. Hazy deep golden, small fizzy white head, disappears quickly, lacing ; aroma malt, peach, light caramel, yeast, alcohol; sharp taste, medium sweet and bitter, malty, light toffee, peachy undertone, alcohol, light peppery; medium body, oily texture, soft carbonation; sweetbitter fruity alcoholish aftertaste, spicy notes; alcohol dominates too much, disappointing.

Bottle from Tres Bonne Cuisine. Braced for the worst as I discovered the bottle was dated from 2011 (Lot 09218/1), tons of sediment. Pleasantly surprised as its held up well. I didn’t think tripels aged at all. Cloudy orange golden body with soft creamy head, fine carbonation. Aroma is a bit musty, but not entirely off. Taste is bit funky and slightly sour, as the yeast has definitely passed its prime. A pretty good tripel is detectable in there though, in its prime, this probably would have been pretty good.

kraddel (8890) - Antwerp, BELGIUM - OCT 1, 2015
Pours unclear blonde, small white head fades fast. Smell is unintense, some yeast, bit sweet. Taste is sharp, bit bitter, but mostly very yeasty. Some malty sweetness underneath as well. Not very balanced, or complex for that matter. Drinkable, with a regular ( personally for me a bit too high ) carbonation.

SeniorZozo (1875) - Budapest, HUNGARY - AUG 4, 2015
Pretty nice tripel, standard yellow / golden colored, average head. Decent smell, nice taste and good mouthfeel.

rdb84 (626) - NETHERLANDS - JUL 20, 2015
Clear, dark golden color, small white head. A: fresh apple aroma, Jonagold, with slightly boozy sensation. Chestnut, walnut notes. T: starts with apples, moves to a slight astringent sour high with marzipan and apple juice notes. Development almost resembles champagne in mouthfeel and taste. Slightest creamy touch. Aftertaste is a bit dry, with fruity taste.
