Hand pulled at the Wellington, Birmingham. Pale gold, white head. Malt, cream aroma. Smooth vanilla malt, with more malt in finish. Friendly, smooth mouthfeel. Hints of strawberry in the malt. I actually rather enjoyed this and found it to be an especially pleasant example of this maligned style. madmitch76 (25344) - , Essex, ENGLAND - JUL 14, 2012

Pint pulled at The Woolpacker Inn near Boot (Lake District), a light gold, very lively, with a thick white head. A ligth but fruity hop aroma. A crisp and clean palate, fruity and hoppy, almost ciderish.

Cask in the strands hotel, nether wasdale. Alround rating: Pale malts, slightly grainy cereal character, but grassy and citrus hopes help herpahs herbal as it grows. Fairly decent effort. cgarvieuk (25728) - Edinburgh, SCOTLAND - JUN 8, 2008

Cask Conditioned, at the Battersea Festival, London. Ungstrup (38248) - Citizen of the universe, DENMARK - APR 7, 2005
Golden as it comes. Nicely conditioned (clear) with a fine frothy head. White head. Sulphorous nose with a hoppy bitter finish.
[Cask at the Volunteers Arms, GBBF, 2004] A yellow beer with a small off-white head. The aroma is sweet with notes of alcohol, yeast, and fruit. The flavor is sweet malty, rather hoppy, but also with notes of yeast and fruit. To me this is quite Belgian - even though it is based on a Continental Lager brewed with English yeast. Cask conditioned at the Market Porter, Southwark. Very pale yeallow. Sweet and fruity with a touch of citrus fruit and vinegar. Some tea. Not really an authentic German beer.
