Kristall-König (2820) - Oldenburg, GERMANY - SEP 24, 2011
Kaffeemalziger Geruch, dem eine leicht säuerliche Note innewohnt. Antrunk malzig, dunkel. Mitte Kaffee, Schokolade und malzwürzig. Gelungener malzwürziger und passend bitterer Abgang. Sehr schön.

Bottle, thanks pivnizub. Pretty red chestnut, offwhite head. Roast and toast aroma. Sweet caramel base, plenty of roasted grains, herbal bitterness. Chewy and fullbodied, slightly sticky.

pivnizub (10618) - Bochum, Porúří, GERMANY - JUN 17, 2010
Bottle (purchased at the brewery): Clear, light ruby-amber coloured, quickly collapsing off-white head, leaving a little lace; moderate toasty and nutty nose with a delicate "woody" hoppy background; light to moderate sweet-bitter flavour, soft, but pretty light bodied; nutty finish, followed by a light aftertaste. Not bad, could be excellent with a more impressive body....

DruncanVeasey (8226) - NUNEATON, Warwickshire, ENGLAND - NOV 28, 2009
UPDATED: DEC 16, 2009 Bottle from Arden Wines. Rocky cream over russet, lacing ornately. Nice picture of a horse on it. Leathery rye bread/briny German malt aroma overlaid with honey, and milk chocolate. Blossom of hop, fruitcake and black cherry; honeyed malt with a sprinkle of rust. Rounds out with a chocolate Hobnob aftertaste and some dusty lactic sweetness. No alcohol discernible. Sweet but savoury in that wonderfully German way.

Quack-Duck (9484) - Down South, GERMANY - OCT 2, 2009
bottle, previously rated at BTO: Schlichte Flasche, kein Rückenetikett, Frontetikett aber nett gemacht. Schäumt ordentlich auf, schmeckt getreidig und röstmalzig, Getreidenoten schmeckt man v.a. im Antrunk. Sehr langer Abgang, dafür ist der Nachgeschmack etwas weniger ausgeprägt.
