Murky burnt orange with a thin ring of head around the edge of the glass. Aroma had a lot of sweet pumpkin notes with a little too much nutmeg and other more subtle spices. The flavor, like most other pumpkin beers, gets bogged down with just too much pumpkin pie spices like nutmeg, cinnamon and ginger, with a malty backbone that’s earthy and sweet/bland with a pumpkin flavor running throughout. Pretty standard pumpkin ale. Ratman197 (14674) - Arvada, Colorado, USA - OCT 9, 2012
On tap at Denver Beer poured a clear reddish amber with a lingering ring of amber foam. Aromas of carmel, allspice, clove, cinnamon and light pumpkin. Palate was medium bodied and smooth. Flavors of cvarmel, cinnamon, clove, allspice and light pumpkin with a smooth lingering spiced finish. wchesser (2071) - Denver, Colorado, USA - OCT 6, 2012
UPDATED: OCT 12, 2012 My kind of pumpkin beer. Minimal lacing and head on an orange-brown full bodied ale. Light spice and roasted malt on the nose. Terrific earthy roast pumpkin flavor and dry, clean finish.
