On tap at the brewery. Pale amber and clear appearance with an off-white head. (I’m a little stuffed up) Aroma of soft caramel malts, toffee, and earthy hops. Flavor is medium hop bitterness, toasted grains, light roast and light malty sweetness. Average body, crisp, clean and pretty easy to drink. A solid amber ale. Kapowski! On tap at Denver Beer poured a clear reddish amber with a small lingering amber head. Aromas of earthiness, toffee and lihght fruittiness. Palate was medium bodied anbd smooth. Flavors of earthiness, carmel and a hint of fruittiness with a smooth lingering earthy finish. onceblind (9689) - Denver, Colorado, USA - OCT 3, 2012
Clear dark copper in hue with a thin white ring of foam around the edge of the glass. Very interesting aroma of some sort of sticky fruit--like grapefruit or tangerine or canned peach--paired with an earthy malty caramel tone with a gentle nutty toffee ester. Taste was the same, in every good way. Nutty amber malts with some toffee and a light touch of caramel, with a sticky syrupy fruitiness that was kinda tropical, a little bit dryish hoppy finish with a dash of caramel. Stupendous amber.
