Bottle 75 cl. Courtesy of scrizzz. Pours a pitch black with a small beige head. Sweet Bourbon aroma, some roast and glue. UPDATED: JUL 30, 2013 Clear black with a thin light white head. Smell is glorious with bourbon and vanilla-oak with chocolate chip cookie. Flavor is bourboned with a sweet boozy oaked flavor followed by some vanilla and chocolate, with a boozy sharpness in the middle. Finished up with an oaked sweetness.

UPDATED: JAN 28, 2011 Tap @ brewery. Very dark brown appearance with a creamy brown head. Oak, some whiskey with a creamy stout aroma. Sample at the brewpub (as "Wild Turkey™ Barrel Conditioned Stout"). This brew pours black with a minimal beige head that is gone pretty quickly. Nil lacing as well. Whiskey aroma with notes of vanilla and malt. Medium body with a boozy character and flavors of chocolate malt, vanilla, and dark fruit. The finish is oaky bourbon with a lingering warming alcohol and malt aftertaste. Overall this one takes a minute to adjust to after several less flavorful beers, but is still a relatively straightforward beer. tap at Denver ChopHouse - Pours near black and smells mainly of bourbon. The oak bourbon flavor is huget in the flavor too and while tasty if one likes bourbon, it buries everything else. The body is also on the light side for a stout. So overall liking bourbon means you’ll probably like this beer, but others have done more with barrel aging. Draft at the brewery. Just because you take a stout and stick it in a bourbon barrel, it is not instantly great. This just seemed like they tried too hard to me. The bourbon notes were strong up front and drowned everything else out. No subtle notes, more like a kick in the teeth. Nice but nothing special.
