Pint on tap. Hazy orange amber with a ring of bubbles. Nose is orange toffee and a hint of earthy spice. Tastes of caramel, orange and evergreen resin with a finish of fresh ginger. Light-medium body finishes dry and has medium carbonation.

Draft - Ginger and pale malts. Hazy gold with a thin white head. Ginger up front, not spicy or sweet, more like Ginger beer soda. Not bad for what it is.

On tap @ Depot Street: Light straw orange yellow pour with a slight white head and a bit of lacing. Nice carbonation. BAM! is right! - BIG ginger in the upfront aroma, with a slight sweet malt balance and earthy hops - Ginger still the prevalent aroma. Flavor is not as gingered as the nose - but still present, with a light malt sweetness and earthy hops bitter. Extremely refreshing on a hot summer day. Shared some pints with the farginbastige on his way through to Pennsylvania. Good day all around on 07/09/2011.

Suttree (6466) - Knoxville, Tennessee, USA - AUG 1, 2005
Dark reddish brown, or something like that. Smooth dense head. Aroma of, well, ginger, as one might expect. Slightly bitter - resiny, but also a hint of that European bitterness like in Duvel. Notes of ginger, as expected. Finishes with a flinty dryness. Some touch of cardboard, too. Sampled at 2005 Music City Brewer’s Fest.
