Cask at Indo - Aldgate East, London. Pours clear gold with a foamy, white head. The nose holds pale grains, a little citrus peel. Light sweet flavour with notes of pale bread, citric hops, straw, more grain, some grassy bitterness. Light bodied with fine carboantion; decent condition. Finishes with more grainy pale malts, husk, lemon peel, grass, hay, very subtle leather. Quite so so. Towey1989 (3171) - Stoke On Trent, Staffordshire, ENGLAND - MAY 11, 2016
Cask at The Roebuck, Leek (Titanic) A clear golden colour with a foamy white head. Aroma of orange, some grapefruit, subtle lemon, a little grain and slight herbal hops. Taste of orange, grapefruit, slight grain, a little tartness and grassy, herbal hops. Light bodied and an oily texture. A soft, dry herbal hop bitterness in the finish. A decent fruity aroma and a dry, hoppy taste. An ok golden ale. Hanoi (971) - Greater Manchester, ENGLAND - JUL 8, 2013
Bottle:Nose is biscuit and slight honey. Taste is biscuit, butter, slightly metallic, lightly bitter finish. Mouthfeel is suitable. Forgettable. DanielBrown (4535) - Birmingham (via Leicester), West Midlands, ENGLAND - FEB 12, 2013
Bottle from cousin. Peach colour, soft froth ring, which clings perilously to glass. Smells malty... even though it’s a Golden. Taste is a bit appley, a bit tart, with some very feint tropical fruit being hinted at before the dry, floorboard tang of UK hopfield takes root, firmly. Not the best. Bottle. Orange golden colour. Aroma of citrus hops. Taste is a big surprise, quite complex. Very tangy orange tones, a bit like a belgian white beer. Reminds a bit of Hogaarden . Bitter finish. A good beer, unusual for a golden ale. Maybe hints of an IPA.

From Jan 2009: The second beer from this brewery to be reviewed by me today. Clear 500ml bottle (bottle conditioned), best before 2 Feb 09, so two weeks of its life left when drank.
Poured into a straight pint glass, with very little sediment getting into the glass.
Dull golden colour, slighty hazey and with a large foaming white head.
This beer is all about hops, Cascade and WGV are used and they come through into the nose as soon as the bottle opens.
A real English bitter taste, hoppy and dry, very impressive.
Good feel to this beer, a whole lot better than the first beer I reviewed from them. One more to go (today).

Cask conditioned at Far From the Madding Crowd, Oxford. Gold with white head. Quite a juicy, fruity beer with a hint of strawberry hoppinesss. Certainly pretty reasonable. downender (8774) - Bristol, Gloucestershire, ENGLAND - JUL 3, 2010
