From Jan 2009: The second beer from this brewery to be reviewed by me today. Clear 500ml bottle (bottle conditioned), best before 2 Feb 09, so two weeks of its life left when drank.
Poured into a straight pint glass, with very little sediment getting into the glass.
Dull golden colour, slighty hazey and with a large foaming white head.
This beer is all about hops, Cascade and WGV are used and they come through into the nose as soon as the bottle opens.
A real English bitter taste, hoppy and dry, very impressive.
Good feel to this beer, a whole lot better than the first beer I reviewed from them. One more to go (today).

Bottle. Orange golden colour. Aroma of citrus hops. Taste is a big surprise, quite complex. Very tangy orange tones, a bit like a belgian white beer. Reminds a bit of Hogaarden . Bitter finish. A good beer, unusual for a golden ale. Maybe hints of an IPA. DJMonarch (9179) - Northwich, Cheshire, ENGLAND - JUL 26, 2007

[672-20070924] Cask @ Royal Oak (Bath, SM). Smells like lemon-scent Pledge cleaning solution and some hoppy Pink Lady apples. Slightly hazy, orange brown body with a quick bubbly white head. Flavour is very hoppy with apples and lemons. Medium body is fairly sour and bitter. Very interesting concoction, a nice but strange sourness. johndoughty (5398) - cheslyn hay, West Midlands, ENGLAND - MAY 16, 2009
Bottle. Slightly cloudy and poured very flat. Not a lot of life but the gentle bitterness stops it from being a complete right off. Some lingering hopiness so it didnít turn out as bad as I had first expected

Clear golden with a tiny off white head. Sweet fruity aroma with malty and caramel. Sweet malty flavour with grassy hops and piney notes. Finished bitter. leaparsons (10499) - Wigston, Leicestershire, ENGLAND - JUN 5, 2008
Bottle. Golden with a small head. Aromas are bitter citrus with light caramel and butter malts with cream. Quite peppery. Flavours are buttery malts with lots of spritzy yeast and woody notes. Very bitter citrus on the finish with pine. A bitter bitter. Ober (2812) - Bommelerwaard, NETHERLANDS - AUG 3, 2008
At the tasting session by Joes. A golden colored beer, with a white head. The aroma is fruity, apricot, malty and some hop. The taste is bitter, some caramel sweet. It’s spicey, there are some peppers. It has a long bitter aftertaste. MiP (15650) - SÝnderborg, DENMARK - FEB 20, 2010
Bottle, 4.2%. Weak grassy aroma hop, hint of vegetable perhaps even butter. Almost clear golden colour. Very small white head. The flavour is nicely grassy, better and more powerful than the aroma. chriso (7533) - London, Greater London, ENGLAND - FEB 13, 2010
Cask (gravity dispense) at Battersea Beer Festival, 11 February 2010. Gingery gold colour. Thin head. Decent condition. Rather biscuity aroma. Much better flavour. Firm chewy hops with plenty of fruit. Slightly sweet. Good length. Some lingering bitterness.
