This is the beer I was looking forward to drink the most of the ones ozujsko brought from Auxerre (I’d told him about it, and all). This poured a completely opaque light brown colour with tons of yeast particles. Nice (don’t think it would be nice to everyone though :)). The nose is Belgian style, spicey, cloves, and evident honey. Not bad at all. The taste is Belgian style spiciness again, obvious cloves and a fine honey presence, not as obvious as in, say, Rouget de Lisle Millefleur, but nice and pleasant. Good, tasty maltiness. A great Belgian style ale from a french region far better know for its wines. A true hidden gem.
Bottled. Steady strong head with a light brown body. The aroma is lightly fermented and the flavour is strong, quite hot on the plate and lightly spiced. Overall a good Belgian ale effort from a French brewery. Papsoe (25054) - Frederiksberg, DENMARK - AUG 1, 2005
(Bottle 33 cl) Amber coloured, slightly hazy with an impressive, dense head. Soft without much carbonation. Malty with smoked notes. The honey adds a discreet sweetness. Interesting beer with a very personal touch. 060601 Bov (13354) - Bienne, SWITZERLAND - AUG 24, 2003
I had this beer many years ago at one time when I was too lazy and stupid to write my thoughts. I will update this as soon as I get my hands on this beer again.
