Thanks to my boyfriend who made me discover this fantastic french brewery. Imagine the wedding of a trappist ale (The Orval) with a Cantillon Gueuze and you’ll get an idea about this terrific bitter and sour ale. It is dry with an astringent finish but you can drink it easily. Clearly an underestimate beer. Maltador (63) - Paris, FRANCE - FEB 26, 2010
If you like the Orval I may suggest you to try this one. Dry, bitter, hoppy with a nice citrus attack. Only 5% abv but a strong personnality and a bitter finnish that lasts. Wow ! Theis (15151) - Frederiksberg, DENMARK - JAN 20, 2010
Bottle at Papsø’s - Thanks. Clear watery yellow - white head. Horsey, barnyard, bretty, soapy, spicy, pilsner malty, bitterness, light hoppy. KimJohansen (10497) - Frederiksberg C, DENMARK - JAN 12, 2010
Clear yellow with a medium white head. Sweet malty aroma with fruity and hoppy notes. Hoppy flavour with malty and yeasty notes. Finished bitter. Ungstrup (38380) - Citizen of the universe, DENMARK - JAN 10, 2010
Bottled. A hazy very light yellow beer with a lazing white head. The aroma has notes of lemon, wheat, and coriander. The flavor is sweet with notes of lemon, coriander, and wheat, leading to a dry, lemony, and bitter finish. Thanks yespr for sharing.

33 cL bottle. Pours cloudy yellow with a small white head. Aroma is fruity and dry brett-ish note. Mild citric and barnyard-ish flavour. Smooth yeasty and mild malty and distinct citric yeasty finish. Citric into the far finish. Papsoe (25056) - Frederiksberg, DENMARK - JAN 10, 2010
Bottle 33 cl. Courtesy of yespr. Pours yellow with a slight haze and a lacing white head. Tart, Bretty nose. Light body, dry pale malts, some barnyard and tart, lactic and Brettish accents. Dry and astringent finish. 100110 presario (4925) - Stampede City, Alberta, CANADA - OCT 5, 2009
Bottle. Poured half an ounce into my glass and it transformed into enough foam to overlflow the glass. Even a third empty foam continued to rise from the bottle. Very pale yellow underneath the mammoth head. Light Sauson aroma. Flavour is at first like a baby Hobloun. A little thin and airy. Big lemon pepper bit in the middle and at the finish and relatively clean aftertaste. finol (3487) - Stockholm, SWEDEN - AUG 22, 2009
A simple and sharp saison. Some elder juice, currant and citrus. hirigalzkar (3258) - Stockholm, SWEDEN - AUG 22, 2009
Bottle. This beer reminds me of elder juice in every aspect. It looks like it, smells like it and has that special natural tartness of it. It also got some citrus sourness. Nice in many different aspects but it’s a little too straight forward and lacks in complexity.
