COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Deschutes Brewery's summer bond Street Series offers yet another refreshing, hot weather quencher to complement Twilight Ale. This unique Belgian-style wheat beer was brewed with zested Curacao orange peel and just enough spices to keep your taste buds guessing. Our brewers tinkered with the recipe for months at the Public House in Bend, Oregon, before perfecting what will arrive on shelves in 22-ounce bottles this June. One prototype of the Wit was sampled at Portland's Spring Beer and Wine Festival in March, where it earned a gold medal.

Hazy yellow color witha nice white head the leaves bits of lacing and a ring around the glass. Wonderful aromas of clove, citrus, chamomile, bread, and some banana. Taste almost has a bit of Cream of Wheat to it to start, followed by a nice citrus zest, perhaps from coriander, followed by combination of bread dough and clove. Carbonation is borderline high, with a medium body that has gives it good substance but still amazingly drinkable. Really never thought I’d like a Witbier this much, but this one just knocks it out of the park. Big thanks to doubleo for the bottle!

~Pours a light cloudy yellow color with small to medium sized creamy white head.
~Scent of wheat coriander and yeast. Slight citrus.
~Spicy wheat taste with mild banana. Kind of gets a slight flavor of vanilla when warmer. Can’t really taste the orange peel, maybe a little.
~Light creamy feel. Clean finish
~I think this is a good beer. I like the fact that it isn’t like a typical witbier. The fact that it isnt real heavy with coriander makes me like it more. Very refreshing and enjoyable beer.

22 oz bomber purchased at the Wine Store on Water Street in Port Townsend, Washington. Pour is hazy yellow white, a slight greenish tint with a one inch white head. Nice lacing. Aroma of wheat, lemon citrus, earthy hay and coriander. Some slightly sweet yeastiness in there as well. Nice nose. Taste is wheat, spicy coriander, lemon lime citrus and a great grassy hay graininess. All really well balanced. Perfectly bright taste and clean finish. This is a very tasty wit. Please make this a regular lineup beer, it’s amazing.

I found this at Poplar Wine & Spirits for $4.50 a bomber.

A hazy straw colour with a 1 finger head of foam. I don't see many bubbles so this could be lightly carbonated. It has some good lacing and the foam doesn't appear to be shrinking fast.

The smell is nice and wheaty and peppery and yeasty. I also get a touch of clove. I hope it tastes like it smells..

The taste is yeah. Like the smell. Good yeasty and peppery flavours along with the wheat, some orange, some spiciness, just a touch of clove and even less of some banana. Nice flavours overall and a really easy brew to drink. Perfect for this hot summer day!

This borders on a medium mouthfeel, the carbonation is also light, and it finishes with a slightly lemon and orange tartness and some more pepper. Good stuff and highly quaffable!!

I've always been impressed with what Deschutes has put out and this one doesn't disappoint. The 22oz bottle will be *very* easy to polish off and I'll take this over a Hoegaarden any day of the week.

Bomber from Bevmo Encinitas. Shared with my gf Cyn paired with Vegan Rueben’s. Pours golden with a 1 finger bright white head. Gotta love the label no matter how the beer looks. Nose is sweet and light with a slight bit of spice. Taste is sweet light and spiced and is really seasonly appropriate and overall a very good wit. Deserves a higher than a 66 percent imo. Supremely sessionable

On tap at Newport Pizza and Ale house. Pours bright golden hue with good carbonation and a thin white head. Nose has a faint citrus and earthy note. Flavor is sweet with subtle spices and light grains underlying throughout. Mouthfeel is light and crisp and very refreshing. I found this wit to be very good and I will have it again!

Lemon colored pour with 2 finger white head. Aroma = bit citrusy, Im guessing its the grains of paradise im smelling that is giving this a sort of straw aroma, its different, but it smells good, It almost has a weak saison aroma about it. Taste = get a slight does of what you would expect, a bit of lemon, touch of orange, but the grains of paradise really comes through, and gives this wit a more mellow smoothed out flavor. mouthfeel is medium.

Overall this is a really great wit, probably the best i have had. Even though I would have expected an anniversary wit to be bigger all over, its still a great beer.
