Nicely balanced beer, that goes down well. Though it is best when on cask.

A decent beer that has that particular Deschutes house character that, although indescribable, is very distinctive. An unobtrusive pint, and not exactly cerebral, but good enough.

Quite tasty indeed, full bodied but mild, really hit the spot...............

Piney, earthy hop aroma. Nice copper colour. Toasted, biscuit malt flavour, slightly fruity. Nice interpretation.

Gusler (2652) - Tucson, Arizona, USA - DEC 10, 2000
UPDATED: FEB 11, 2003 The beer pours a lightly hazy burnished copper color, the head impressive in size; frothy in texture, light tan in color, with the resultant lace a fine covering sheet to conceal the glass. Hop floral start to the nose, sweetly malt, citrus crisp and fresh and a treat to the senses. Sweet malt start, the top slender in its feel, perkily acidic, the hops forthright in their spicy bite, aftertaste dry and lingering. “Bitters” as a style, I think overlooked and underrated, I for one like the style and wish more were brewed and easily available.
