On draft at Dan's Downtown Tavern. The pour is a darker brown with a good bit of garnet showing through and a thin off khaki colored ring of head that leaves a light soapy lace behind. The aroma is really bitter up front. There is a good bit of hop, and then a light roastiness. A light metallic component comes to light with a good chocolate through the finish. The flavor is much of the same. It's really bitter. The chocolate comes through a little more with a roastiness undertone. The metallic fades a bit, which is nice. The mouth feel is solidly medium bodied with a softer carbonation and a lingeringly bitter and roasty finish. This isn't terrible for a porter, but the bitterness of the hop just doesn't do it for me. 6 4 7 4 14 Cokemonkey11 (996) - - AUG 27, 2017
On tap at Brewdog soho. Black with a perfect ice cream foam residing. Scent is quite impressive notes of what I think is mahogany wood vanilla. Taste is lovely, medium dense porter with wood resins, caramel, bubblegum flavors. Finish is lightly dry. Bit sticky when warmed. Very great. Pours up brown with a frothy tan head. Aroma is chocolate, roasted coffee. Taste is bittersweet, with notes of chocolate, and coffee. Light fruity undertones, but the chocolate stays dominant. Body stays to the lighter side of medium. Good. szampapal (35) - POLAND - AUG 17, 2017

From bottle. Aroma was chocolate and booze and a little metallic. Pours with modest fast dissipating head. Tastes of rich chocolate, roast, and a little warming booze, also a tiny hint of perfume which was nice. Drinks very very dry and rich nsharma (12) - Burnaby, British Columbia, CANADA - JUL 30, 2017
I had this beer at craft beer and it was amazing. It pours a coffee black with a tan head. Chocolate aroma, slight hop bitterness with a creamy taste in your mouth. I highly recommend this beer. runaway (96) - Seattle, Washington, USA - JUL 30, 2017
12 oz bottle pours a cloudy black -- showing a dark cola coloration at the corners when held to the light -- with a patchy tan head. The aroma is first of dark roast malt, with a leathery dark chocolate smell and anise and dried fruit notes coming after. The taste follows the aroma with a sweet creamy texture like a milk stout; the body is on the lighter side, but not watery. The finish has the leathery dark chocolate notes in a drawn out mildly bitter finish that is neither dry or sticky. The A thin head lingers and there is minimal lacing. This is a pretty solid porter, not extravagant or flashy, but amazing in a composed, reserved manner.
