Clear dark brown black colour with a average to large, frothy to creamy, good lacing, fully lasting, beige head. Aroma is moderate to heavy malty, roasted, chocolate, coffee, cacao. Flavour is heavy sweet and bitter with a long duration, dark roasted, chocolate, malt bitter. Body is medium to full, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. 
22 fl oz bottle. Pours hazy brown with a small tan head. Aroma is roasted dark malty and chocolate. Smooth chocolate note. Light minerals note, thick chocolate and mixed vanilla and dark roasted malty. Lingering dark chocolate and dense caramelish into the finish. Bruce’s Birthday Bash at the Craft Clerkenwell. Thanks again to Bruce for more birthday treats! Opaque black - brown beer, little pale tan head. Light palate, semi dry. Nice dark malts, minerals. A little coffee. Pinch of bourbon spice. Semi dry finish. Quite simple but so very drinkable!
Bottle 65 cl. Pours an opaque black with a creamy light brown head. Sweet vanillaish aroma with quite some licorice all-sorts from the Bourbon battels. Medium body, very smooth mouthfeel, sweet roastiness the American way, a ton og vanilla but still in balance and never cloying. Big chocolate malt nose, some milk chocolate, general dark sugars. Big sweet flavor, some charred malts, more dark sugars, moderate roast. Full bodied with fine to average carbonation. Warming finish with bitter cocoa, charred wood, roasted malts, dark cocoa. Rich and very tasty. Bottle shared at the RBESG 2014 London Sunday Tasting. Pours clear brown with a foamy tan head. The nose holds old chocolate, bread, ripe fruits. Medium sweet flavor with slight oxidation, earth, char, strong roast, burnt sugars. Medium to full bodied with fine carbonation. Sweet finish with sturdy bitter charred grains, roasted malts, dried blackberries. Not bad. (August 2014, Score: 3.5)
