Draft at Imbibe. Nose is fig newtons, dark chocolate, and hints of vanilla and alcohol. Pitch black with a medium heavy lacing beige head. Flavor is figgy and sweet with some chocolate, molasses, and alcohol. Onenote81 (1002) - Winston-Salem, North Carolina, USA - FEB 28, 2013
Pours a thick, viscous, dirty motor-oil black with a small tan head on top. Fair retention of the foam. Some light sticky globs hang around after each sip. Rich flavorful aromas of chocolate, roasted malts and coffee, bourbon - all enveloped in a sweet scent of fruit. There’s something about these big bold stouts/porters when they mix in fruit character that I really dig.
Amazing feel as this viscous beer wraps up the palate in a wash of velvety goodness. Subtle carbonation, heavy feel. This is a sipper for sure. A wonderful treat to close out the night with. Big flavors of dark fruit - plum, fig, raisin. Sweetness pulls through with notes of vanilla, bourbon, brown sugar. Mild roasted quality helps bring this one around and prevents this from becoming a total sweet bomb.
This was a really great beer, and a reminder why this is one of my most anticipated releases each year. Wasn’t a fan of the XXIII, so this was a pleasant treat. A wonderful marriage of dark fruits and dark chocolate in the form of a fantastic beer. Martinus (4692) - Baarle-Nassau, NETHERLANDS - FEB 28, 2013
Clear reddish brown colour, beige head. Aroma of cherries, red fruits, caramel, alcohol, caster sugar, malts, dried figs. Sweet malty flavour, roasted malts, caramel, coffee and hops. Finish roasted malts, coffee and prune. Some lingering bitterness.

One of my top 20 beers I have taste. Great aroma, the chocolate couldnt even bring out the best out of me since I am not chocolate eater...but this one was strong enough for me to enjoy. Great beer all around. Will want the XXV for sure! yespr (47039) - Copenhagen O, DENMARK - FEB 25, 2013

Bottle @ Kiss The Kitchen Floor or better known as ZZT VI (2013): kindly shared by Benzai:
Medium sized tan lacing on top of a black colored beer.
Aromas of roast, chalk, mint, plant and floral and some honey. Bit of a strange smell.
Flavours of mint, malts, light roast, barleys, molasses and bitters.
Aftertaste of nasty bitters, malts and bay leaf.
Low carbo, soft light oily light silky mouthfeel, full body and a light oily texture. Not ba but it has something strange in both smell and taste. Texture, carbo and mouthfeel are top notch! Witzend (17) - - FEB 21, 2013
Poured from a bomber deep dark color with a nice tan head strong fruit nose with some malty and chocolate aroma very creamy but a little to sweet over all a decent pour

Pretty nice porter. A bit of a rock candy type flavor which i guess is from the light fruitiness with the malt. No roastiness at all and very well hidden alcohol. thorongil2 (3346) - , Ontario, CANADA - FEB 18, 2013
(bottle) clear very dark brown with a tall brown head; aromas of citrus, lychees; rich complex flavour with a long medium bitter finish, excellent JStax (7125) - Devola/Marietta, Ohio, USA - FEB 16, 2013
Poured from a 750 ml bottle. Pours a viscous dark brown with a thin, khaki colored head of foam. Aroma has dark chocolates and dark fruits. The dark chocolate is intensely bitter. Lots of layers of roasty bitter flavors going on here.
