On tap at the 1st annual Asheville Rare & Wild Beer Tasting 2013, this pours a beautiful black with a full tan head. The nose is of definitive sours. Flavors provide lots of pinot crisp sours, cherries, lots of vanilla, some roasts, and finish with a roasted sour cherry essence. On tap at FredFest 2013. Pours dark brown with a huge tan head and a dark treacle and wine aroma. There is a full-bodied dark molasses and sour chocolate flavor with a vinous finish. Much more complex than the original Abyss, and just as delicious.
