Super pale. That is bizarre. Zippy pepper on the nose, the cascade is pretty unapparent in all honesty. This is the kind of fresh-hop beer that really makes me more convinced that drying those juicy mugs is pretty much te most important part of the process. Slightly acidic in a Pinot Gris kinda way. Very pale gold. Clear with a white head of small bubbles that lingers. Dank grass aroma. Earth and lemon. Flavor is grass with fruit in the background at finish. Dry finish with large bitter end. 19Ei8hty (1166) - Washington, USA - OCT 12, 2012
Very pale straw color body with a tall bubbly white head. Huge fruit nose with strong apple, pineapple, peach, cherry and lime. Sugary sweet malt body, a bit thin and on the oily side. Tart and with notes of sweet orange and grapefruit. Not what I was expecting. after4ever (8025) - Mukilteo, Washington, USA - OCT 11, 2012
22. Thanks, J! Pours a slightly hazy medium golden amber with a loose whitish head. Mild fruity nose, but of grapefruit. Creamy medium body with light carb. Toast, caramel, and grapefruit on the mid palate with a light finish. Very understated. SuzyGreenberg (1604) - Seattle, Washington, USA - OCT 10, 2012
bomber; crystal clear pale gold with creamy white head fading quickly; dry lemons, corn, grassy hops and white sugar; honestly this looks and smells like a slightly hopped malt liquor; dry, grassy hops with lemon juice and dry hay; very little bitterness flavor-wise but does have a drying quality to the mouthfeel; quoting Alex, meh

22 oz. bottle. Pours yellow gold with a foamy white head that slowly settles to a film and little lacing. Aroma has a ton of grain and malt with wet smelling hops that are fairly muted with all the grain grass scents. Taste is bitter and resinous with warming booze and grainy malt and spice like pepper notes. Palate is thin to medium with a warming chalky finish. raphael (1303) - Portland, Oregon, USA - OCT 9, 2012
aromas of resin, powdered sugar, lemon. such a pale clear yellow with modest white head. cascade hops are known as citrus, but the green-ness adds a strong but clean resin, with the lemon more in the background, and alcohol. the strong hoppy taste with the light color is what strikes me—great job Deschutes. Bottle. Clear light yellow pour, spotty, soapy carbonation and an aroma of light resinous lemon and barely noticeable hops. Flavor is bad bitter hops and stale malt and old lemon rinds and resembles nothing like an IPA, let alone a fresh hop IPA. Big let down, thankfully it was relatively cheap boFNjackson (4230) - Portland, Oregon, USA - OCT 9, 2012
Bottle... Poured very pale (way too pale for an IPA), like a straw yellow color with a thin head. Some decent cascade notes on the nose. Flavor wise it was way too unbalanced on the malt and sweetness side. Needed more bitterness, more hop flavor. Especially for a fresh hop. OldMrCrow (2446) - Seattle, Washington, USA - OCT 7, 2012
Bomber from QFC.
Light pour, short-lived white fluffy head. Nose of pine and pineapple with some unwanted esters. Flavors of spicy hops marred with alcohol, banana, and such. This one is a disappointment.
