Beautiful clear golden straw color. Lots of carbonation with a nice one finger white head. Aroma has alot of malts in it, pilsner malts. Also some dank citrusy notes in there. A grassy quality to it. Taste is crispy malts, some funky yeasty notes, a little bitter floral thing going on. Maybe a little too much carbonation for m y taste. Pretty good but nothing overly special. kamikazi (2) - California, USA - NOV 28, 2012 does not count
Expected more from this beer. Was surprised by the straw color and light aroma, but the cascade could be found, hiding in the background. If you are expecting a big west-coast style IPA, this is not it, more like a pale ale. This bottle was 7.4%, but doesn’t taste like it. This beer will sneak up on you! On tap. COmes a clear pale gold with a nice white head. Aroma of citrus, florals, and malt. Taste is lemons, grass, florals, and malt. Decent at best. beerbastard (844) - Mesa, Arizona, USA - NOV 27, 2012
Pours a pale straw white with minimal head. Apple and lemon nose. Tart bitter vinous apple pear taste. Bitter very dry finish. Very little sweetness. These hop aromas and flavors really surprised me. This could almost pass for a dry white wine. Very different. cstuartj (1020) - Washington, USA - NOV 27, 2012
Very nice golden color, big creamy head that lasts. Good lacing. Nose is dry grass, pine, citrus, hops. Attack is a be subtle, hops and citrus. Good clean finish. Yummy.

Pours pale yellow with some golden hues. Head is one finger and holding. Nose is straw, citrus and light pine with corn syrup. Taste is sweet with a decent hop presence but a little underwhelming to be honest. Mouthfeel is sticky, body is medium and the finish is long.

Appearance was clear pale gold with creamy white lasting 3 finger head, rings of lace. Aromas are lemon, pineapple, pine with sweet pale 2-row malt. Taste are sweet malt backbone then the zesty fruits come to play. Lemon, pineapple, tanergine, pine and grapefruit are wonderful with hints of resin. Palate was soft smooth creamy CO2 with meduim body, then average length resinous fruity smooth finish. A real gem... AskForJenny (1086) - Ontario, New York, USA - NOV 26, 2012
22 oz - Lemony nose, honey and apple on the palate. A little fizzy, but I really thought this would have rated better. kdm1984 (814) - Missouri, USA - NOV 26, 2012
Fresh aroma of citrus and earth. Large head with very nice lacing and retention. Very pale color. Flavor is a little weak at first, and palate a little watery, but it finishes well with the typical Deschutes banana malt backing and a good IPA hop kick. I don’t understand why this is rated as lowly as it is - it’s quite a solid IPA. BMan1113VR (7930) - Los Angeles, California, USA - NOV 24, 2012
Bottle. Pours with a crystal clear, very pale yellow hued body with a large and creamy white head. Aromas are citrusy, grassy, herbaceous and dank. Very weed like with some fruity notes that seem like hops, but could be mild yeast esters. Low malt. Flavors are of brown sugar flambeed grapefruit. Fresh citrus. zesty, grassy, and pungent with a delicate malt bill. Not much to dislike. I am surprised by the ratings and notes from other friends. Some pineapple, light bready malt. Clean, hoppy, pleasant. Lively bubbles, a light cornbread and grapefruit character. Medium, although slightly medicinal bitterness. Balance is near neutral with a nod to bitterness. Lively bubbles and dry. Pretty solid and better than I was lead to believe.
