Clear medium to dark amber colour with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white head. Aroma is moderate to heavy malty, caramel, wood, alcohol. Flavour is heavy sweet and bitter with a long duration, malty, achol, dried berry - fruit, oak, red wine notes. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. 
12 fl oz bottle. Pours hazy amber to brown with a small tan head. Aroma is overripe fruity and almost wineous. Smooth fruity, light citric and smooth wooden to wineous. IX. Ambery copper colour with a small white head. Aroma is floral, wooden, a bit lactic along with some zestiness, alcohol and mild berries. Flavour is biscuity, bready, mild toffee along with some berries, alcohol, fruits and mild grassiness. Quite a big bitter kick in the finish, yet balanced out by the sweetness of alcohol. Mellow and pleasant.

Bottle 35,5 cl. Courtesy of Doodler. Pours a hazy reddish amber with a tiny beige head. Amazing thick oak aroma, caramellish with a tart edge. Rich body, soft carbonation, thick caramel and again massive oak with a distinctly tart edge. Warming alcohol finish. Borefts Beer Festival IV. Day 2 (warm up tasting in Jan & Charlotte’s room). Clear deep amber beer, little pale tan head. Nice bourbon nose. Smooth malt, mild wood. Nice fruity bourbon and red wine. Mild sherry and cognac. Toffee malt. A little orange marmalade. Mild spice. Marvellous blend of a beer, lovely balanced complexity and very drinkable.

botle at de molen ... dark copper ... thin tan lacing ... peaty woody ... lightest smoke nose... big big alcohol... im tasting the mix but tasting all the big barrels ... maybe soft toffee fruit backbone
