COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Part of the Bond Street Series. This Fresh Hop Pale Ale is all about celebrating the hop harvest in the fall. Fresh picked hops have to be added to the brew immediately and in abundance. Roughly 270 pounds of Crystal hops from Doug Weathers’ farm outside Salem, Oregon will be added to the 50 barrel batch in addition to some dry kilned whole flower hops. That adds up to approximately 5.5 pounds of hops per barrel brewed.

Strong pine hop aroma with caramel in the background. Very nice and simple, and refreshing. Good.

Bottle into IPA glass. Pours a clearish copper colour with off white head. Aroma is orange and stone fruits. Taste is orange with a little toastiness.

Pours copper orange with a one finger white head with good lacing. Aroma is of fresh citrus, pine, fresh cut grass, herbal hops, bready malts, toasted malts, and some light caramel sweet malts. Taste is about the same as the aroma. Has a medium body with a semi creamy mouthfeel and a semi dry, semi bitter, medium-long finish. Overall, a pretty tasty, well balanced APA with some nice fresh hop notes.

Love the aroma but the hop dominant flavor isn’t really for me. It’s dry but actually relatively smooth. Decent west coast hop & a must try for hop heads.

fresh Bottle from Bill, pours a clear amber brown with medium white head. Notes are nothing but malt, wheat bread, toast, spice and caramel malt. This thing is an ESB right? I know there is hops in it cause its pretty bitter but I can only taste staleness and malt. Awful

Aroma - caramel malt with a slightly pined hop. Appearance - the body is mahogany, and full of particulates. The head is white and around 1". The head settles into a thin layer of foam. There is a fair lacing. Taste - is rich in caramel malt, the hops are slightly pined and somewhat floral. Palate - medium body, texture is slightly oiled, carbonation is average, the finish is pleasantly bittered and of medium length.

Brown-orange, clear, minimal white head. Honey, orange citrus. Quite sweet, resinous bitterness sneaks up a bit getting stronger through the finish. Long finish, somewhat oily, medium body. Not too much carbonation. Pretty good.

Above average, but feel like it needs a little aging to round out the corners. If you like the freshest of the fresh, you can’t go wrong.

Had on tap at brew pub in Bend. Not super clear, reddish orange. Some aftertaste, but takes a while & it’s not strong/biting.
