COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Part of the Bond Street Series. This Fresh Hop Pale Ale is all about celebrating the hop harvest in the fall. Fresh picked hops have to be added to the brew immediately and in abundance. Roughly 270 pounds of Crystal hops from Doug Weathers’ farm outside Salem, Oregon will be added to the 50 barrel batch in addition to some dry kilned whole flower hops. That adds up to approximately 5.5 pounds of hops per barrel brewed.

Aroma - caramel malt with a slightly pined hop. Appearance - the body is mahogany, and full of particulates. The head is white and around 1". The head settles into a thin layer of foam. There is a fair lacing. Taste - is rich in caramel malt, the hops are slightly pined and somewhat floral. Palate - medium body, texture is slightly oiled, carbonation is average, the finish is pleasantly bittered and of medium length.

Brown-orange, clear, minimal white head. Honey, orange citrus. Quite sweet, resinous bitterness sneaks up a bit getting stronger through the finish. Long finish, somewhat oily, medium body. Not too much carbonation. Pretty good.

Above average, but feel like it needs a little aging to round out the corners. If you like the freshest of the fresh, you can’t go wrong.

Had on tap at brew pub in Bend. Not super clear, reddish orange. Some aftertaste, but takes a while & it’s not strong/biting.

Tap at Sidedoor. Classic US IPA aroma. Creamy, thin off-white head on top of an amber-tan body. A touch soapy, earthy. The English yeast and caramel tastes are quite antiquated, has that boring sub par brewpub feel. Definitely bland for a fresh hop beer. Rather unimpressive.

Light copper color with small white head. Not too strong of an aroma. Lots of hops but well balanced.

FROTHINGSLOSH (7697) - GREENSBURG, Pennsylvania, USA - MAR 25, 2016
Sampled from a 12 oz brown bottle this beer poured an orange-bronze color with lots of tiny floaters and a large creamy-soapy orange-white head that lingered and left a bit of lacing. The aroma was faint but had a bitter piney note. The flavor was sweet and malty with notes of caramel, sugar, pine and grapefruit. Medium length finish. Moderately full bodied. Pleasant.

Tasted from bottle. Aroma is floral with some sweetness. Taste is moderately bitter with floral and herbal flavors. Some caramel notes. Well done pale ale. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Amber color with nice head on tap at sharp edge in crafton. Plenty of hops for a pale ale,

jahshuwuh (567) - USA - FEB 2, 2016
A dark, almost ruby golden color with half finger off white head. Smells of fresh cut grass, honey biscuit, tea. Taste is light on the grassy hops, small bit of sweetness, ends with a light cracker taste and small amount of bitter. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
