COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Enter, if you will, all the glorious aromatic complexity of the hop. This big, bold IPA’s intense multi-hop kick gets a subtle dose of restraint from select Crystal and Carastan malts. For discriminating hop heads.

UPDATED: OCT 23, 2013 12oz bottle to tulip. Nice aroma, not off the charts but highly respectful. Earthy with pineapple and apricot maybe even a touch of bubblegum. Inversion really does appear as a nearly red ale. A very robust tan head with sticky lacing. The palate is both bitter and buttery. There is a lasting resinous on the roof of the mouth and mid tongue. Carbonation is soft and the body is light to medium. The finish is dry but lingers with just a touch of brightness. A surprising IPA in many ways, not upper/upper echelon in my opinion but a good buy and damn tasty especially when on sale ($7.99 a six )and definitely fridge worthy. I will give it kudos for bringing the IBUs and you could pay more and get a lot less punch. Solid Stuff.

On tap at Facebook in Menlo Park, CA. Aroma is mild malts, citrus peels, earthy bits. Taste is citrus-y and then an earthy bitterness that reminded me of chewing on a poisonous twig. Harsh.

Bottle from Total. Pours out a nice-looking deep amber color with a frothy light tan head and lots of lacing. Big fruity-spice aroma and flavors with a bit of citrus and pine. Good bitterness but a little too much on the sweet side for me.

12 ounce bottle. A good overall IPA. No complaints, but was expecting a bit more "punch" bordering on an Imperial IPA let’s say. That said, I doubt many drinkers, in the know, will complain about this beer!

hauxe (836) - Butzbach, Hesse, GERMANY - JUL 21, 2017
Pours amber from the bottle with a creamy head. The tropical notes are less overt than standard for the style. Instead, a blend of caramel and resin accompanied by light citrus & apple notes greets the nose. The hops makes itself felt in the taste, which is bitter with grapefruit and apple notes. Acridity in the finish. Body is medium, with moderate carbonation. Not bad.

j12601 (12700) - Poughkeepsie, New York, USA - JUL 17, 2017
On tap at the brewery. Pours a hazed amber orange with a medium sized white head. Earthy pine and a bit of citrus on the nose, a bit of fruit. Medium bodied, soft yeast tones with a hint of banana. Thicker and maltier than expected from the nose, a bit of pungent earthy hops. Long toast and a bit of fruit into the finish. A touch flabby, long earth and pine.

(Deschutes Inversion IPA) Bottle 335ml at home, served into a shaker, ABV 6.8% Amber coloured body, clear, with a small and thin white head on top. Aroma of caramel malts, biscuit. Taste of caramel malts too, sone toffee, biscuit, hops, nicely bitter finish. Medium body, good carbonation. Nice.

Clear copper colour. Aroma and flavour have some sweet malts and ripe fruits. Perhaps some honey dew melon. Smooth and well rounded.

From a bottle. Pours an amber orange and makes a thin white head. Aroma of hops and malted barley. Tastes more like a hoppy malt amber than an IPA, but I like it. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Rex_Remes (229) - Bonyhad, HUNGARY - MAR 26, 2017
Red Amber color, ok white head, a bit oily residue. Nose is more tobacco and toast hops, less of the over the top, grapefruit. Taste burnt malt, metallic and crisp, some herbal and vegetative notes, significant hops. Palate: sparkly front, medium body, dry finish, good hoppiness. Overall: good beer, balance is a bit towards hops, could, see this as being an acceptable craft ipa for most people.
